I’m not about to croak (I hope!) But I’ve had a couple of health issues this year, so these days anything more than 3 or 4 hours is a good night’s sleep for me.
Excessive sleep deprivation can seriously impact people’s wellbeing. I try to nap a little whenever I can, and hope for the best.
Sorry to hear that, can't your pain be controlled?
I don't sleep much, it's not insomnia, I just don't seem to need that much sleep. I read till around 3am, and am often wide awake from 6am.
My back pain is pretty much well controlled most of the time Syl but impossible all of the time.
Within half an hour of starting this thread I was out cold and snoring like a baby apparently all tucked up in bed.
Jack I'm the same, can stay awake all night. I got Melatonin from my doctors, not sleeping pills, but helps relax the brain. Might be worth asking your doctor.

I actually get 14 diazepam a month but rarely use them. Thing is I've never slept very much.

The me neither. Even as a teen I hardly slept, just my body clock I suppose. In the mornings though, I struggle to get up!

I don't sleep as much as I used to. Don't seem to need it. I average around 6 hours.
Six hours!!!!
That's a coma!
It's years since I had 6 hours. I think sleep is overrated anyway, there are plenty other things you could be doing.
No matter how little you have, if you are not tired in the day, (me) or if you can have a nap in the daytime (my OH often does if we don't go out) you are getting all the sleep you need.
Yeah that goes for me as well - my tits are sagging!
Not had more than 3 hours in over 2 years - endless bad dreams and nightmares.
Phil.
I have some vivid dreams too....OH says I could write horror stories about some of the nightmares I have had. A recurring one is called the Googly girl, she looks oddly like my sister, she is a real horror.

Mine are always of my parents, grandparents and the house - just one night would be wonderful with no dreams.
