There was a chat room here, and some people, as we found out later, did use it for devious purposes, those people didn't include Digger or myself.
I scarcely used it, and I had no idea what was going on behind the scenes, tbh, I dont think even Shell knew either.





 I used to go into the Chat rooms where sometimes it was late at night and only MG and Vass were in there.  I'd be chatting away and wondering why the two of them barely talked to me.   They were too busy whispering to each other.lol   At that time I had no idea that the whispers even existed.  I think I only found out when I was made a mod.  

The chat rooms had their own moderators and admin away from the main board.  So MG was an admin on the chat rooms.  It was only admin who could read the whispers not the mods.  Budgie warned everyone on here that admin could read whispers and warned them not to divulge any personal stuff in the whispers.  But of course, nobody listened.   It was too tempting to bitch and gripe and cyber in secret.  

 

It was odd when several people were showing to be in Chat, but no one was chatting!

They all must have been whispering together. 

I do remember some male poster who 'whispered' to me a few times, just to say "Hi"...or ask how I was doing. I remember saying to him, You don't have to whisper, just say it in the public chatroom....he said he whispered because Hobbit, or whatever she called herself when she was on here, got jealous if he spoke to me. lol

 

Those Whispers, that were eventually released, certainly opened my eyes as to what was going on at that time.e
