Oh though it doesn’t really matter much to me!

i‘m in the Canaries.  First time.  It’s just the perfect climate - never below 17 at night or above 25 in the day.

Yeah yeah the weather there ain’t bad.

I go to the US most years although so far not Texas.

But last August I vowed never to enter or exit at JFK/NEWARK again.

Newark immigratiion took 2.5 hours at 9pm and was grumpy, disorganised and rude.

JFK back out: a horrible experience due to the attitude of the security people.  Literally shouting at people.  I fly at the pointy end of the plane and was escorted into the priority queue by BA staff after check in.   10 mins later I was asked how the hell I had got into that queue by an official.  Again shouting.

On the other hand we were literally through Miami in 10 mins in June.

Flying international into the US, especially for non Americans can be an ass whipping..

But to be fair, even domestic flights are no fun anymore.

Our security is basically a harassment service that isn't going to catch a real mastermind anyway..

Yes thank you Syl.  Thank you.

Gran Canaria actually, for a week only.  I stay in the old town of Las Palmas as I prefer cities to resorts.
