Yes, years ago when in Canaries.  We we were treated badly, because w were English.  Doesn't have to be about colour.

Same here, not in the Canaries, it was mainland Spain, a couple of years ago.

I have also been called a Jew ××××....and I am not even Jewish.

They didn't want to serve us, put us at the back of the bar queue, etc.  Some Germans were there and moaned at the staff, and got our drinks.  This black girl we  befriended said to me why are they like this is it because I'm black,,,.I said to her, it's not your colour luv, it's because you're English.  We all complained, it was so apparent.  Every English holiday maker was treated with contempt and dislike.  I wrote a scathing review when I got home!

That's a horrible experience Mags, I'm glad you wrote a review, warn other Brits to stay away.

We had the same treatment in Spain a couple of years ago. There were only a handful of Brits in the hotel, the Spanish guests were lovely, the staff were horrendous, some of the Spanish guests complained about the way we were treated. Staff wouldn't serve us at the bar, wouldn't seat us in the dining room, wouldn't clear our plates. In the end, we started putting our used plates on the nearest clear table, so they had to move them.

I also wrote a review on Trip adviser...saying the staff were racist. They refused to publish it.....the word 'racist' obviously offeneded them. bored

You know  I have been to the Canaries many times, before and after and never had this treatment.  It was the staff, cleaners in the hotel.  I was with a friend, if my hub was with me I'm sure they would have been different.  They treated couple old German ladies the same and we had to sit outside at night.  The Germans got our drinks in the club as they refused to serve us and other English,  and had a go at them.  Appalling staff!

Arseholes...but as you say, it only happened in one hotel, same with us.

It's a really horrible experience to be treated like you are not wanted. I was really annoyed when Trip Advisor refused to print my review, I haven't used them since.

This is disgusting, and hopefully, the two nurses who allegedly acted like this will be sacked and dealt with.

"A Manchester children’s hospital is investigating allegations of the mistreatment of a seriously ill-young Jewish patient by nurses wearing ‘Free Palestine’ badges.

The British-born, Israel-based uncle of the unnamed nine-year-old boy with an auto-immune blood disease claims the child, while visibly wearing his kippa and tzitzit, was “kicked out of his bay” at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, by a nurse allegedly “covered in Pro-Palestine badges and stickers” and claims he was forced to “lie on the floor with a canula in”.

In the story, which has been widely shared across social media by appalled members of the public including TV presenter Rachel Riley, the uncle says: “As a religious Jewish family, my nephew wears his black Kippa (yamulka, religious hat whatever you want to call it) and his tzitzit proudly. Not today. Why you ask? The nurses (NHS employees) are all walking around wearing “Free Palestine” pins and he was scared. Beyond that, the last few times he went in he was denied correct medical care by the same couple of nurses every time”.

Absolutely appalling and racist.  Can you.imagine if it was the other way round.    Nurses would be out on their ear.  No room for these disgusting nurses in our hospitals.

I suppose when Muslims and their supporters are allowed to march through the streets chanting a verse that translates to 'Death to all Jews', some would think this behaviour was acceptable.

There was NO racism against Jewish people in this part of the country, they were accepted decades ago and posed no problems.
Pity the same cant be said for some Muslim communities, they are more racist than anyone.

Yes they are Syl, and thousands more invade everyday.  Thousand of Jews came here from Germany during last war. Were safe.  Now they're hounded again.  Not nice to see.

Anti Semitism  seemed to be introduced here after Corbyn, and his racist mate Abbott became more powerful around 10 years ago.

Their power didn't last, but the aftertaste of their anti semitism never seemed to go away. Obviously, recent events have inflamed the hatred.

It has.  Leaves a nasty taste in your mouth.  They are not responsible for the President in Israel bombing Palestine to bits.
