I agree, Messi was brilliant. Ronaldo loves himself so much. Crying because a penalty was saved before extra time. Never liked him. I heard he's the best footballer to come out of Portugal, no he's not, Eusabio was. (Not sure of spelling)

It all happened years ago when he was playing for MU.

Of course you pay that sort of money if you're innocent. 🙄 What a nasty man he is. I won't be able to look at him again without racist ringing in my head.

Not necessarily. One would ask how did the lady find herself in a Penthouse Suite shortly after meeting Mr Ronaldo in a nightclub and what were her expectations when she went off with him to his Penthouse?

Whenever there is a he says she says situation over a world sports star and celebrity there is going to be a media fenzy because the media can make a lot of money out of it. Mr Ronaldo and the Club (Real Madrid) he just signed for loses in terms of bad publicity, as do all the sponsors that have invested in it - whether Mr Ronaldo is innocent, guilty or somewhere in between. Under such a situation to avoid the media frenzy and the damaging bad publicity it is often best to pay the person off (come to a deal with lawyers on both sides).

I meant rapist not racist. Yes you have a point anon. I assume they paid to shut them up, but by you're reckoning, could be to stop publicity. I can see that, since many stars, footballers etc. have done the same.

Be good to hear what the victim said. Or was she crying rape.

Paying her didn't stop the publicity, it fuelled it.
And as for asking why the woman went to a penthouse suite with him, that was her choice.
They had sex, she says he forced her, he says it was consensual.

A jury would have decided who was telling the truth had it gone to court.
He chose to silence her with money.
