Former President Donald Trump was rushed off the stage just minutes into his rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday, after loud noises that sounded like gunshots were heard. Trump is currently safe and is expected to survive, according to two senior law enforcement officials briefed on the matter. He had blood on the side of his head and his ear.

Trump was speaking when he reached for the side of his face as popping sounds rang out over the rally. He then crouched down as Secret Service agents rushed the stage and surrounded him. He was quickly escorted into a vehicle, walking off the stage with agents on all sides.

 

Reporters on the scene saw smoke and heard what they initially thought were fireworks before everyone ducked and law enforcement encircled Trump.

Screams from the audience rang out as the scene unfolded.

A Secret Service spokesperson said in a statement posted to X that the former President is safe.

Reports say someone in the crowd was shot dead as well.

A man  claimed he warned security there was a man on the roof but was ignored.

Donald Trump was shot in the ear.

He still managed to acknowledge the crowd as he was rushed away.

Someone is selling Tee-Shirts with that photo on Twitter, others say if Trump had died then civil war would have broken out across America.

I saw photos of four different men on Twitter, with each tweet claiming they were the shooter.

The shooter has been identified as a 20 year old man named Thomas Matthew Crooks.

Questions must be asked as to how the shooter was able to get so close to Donald Trump.

Up on top of a building with a gun.

It has echoes of John F Kennedy and Lee Harvey Oswald...

 It does, the security was very lax. It also brought back memories of the Ronald Reagan assassin attempt. 

 

Latest BBC reports I heard is that one is dead (the young shooter) and 2 people were badly injured.

 A lot of people are asking why the armed police allowed the shooter to fire a few shots before they opened fire.

Reports say a man sitting behind Trump was shot in the head and died.

Bobby Kennedy Jr has been asking for security for months but keeps getting refused.

Seems he's been getting death threats but Biden is refusing him any secret service.

His father was murdered on the campaign in 68, do they want a repeat?

 Of course Biden is.  He is Obama and Clinton man.  They will not win the Presidency.

 

Thankfully Trump wore one.  That poor spectator killed.
