I don't think any of the cops involved will be charged, the CPS have said there was not enough evidence.
There was plenty of evidence that the two thugs attacked firstly a member of the public, and then the police who were called to sort it out.

I doubt there will be yet another retrial....British Justice....what a joke.

Obviously no one knows who was on the jury, but if they were twice randomly selected, as they should be, it sounds like they were either biased ... or stupid.

 Thats another possibility.

When evidence is so clear, oth by unbiased witnesses and video, there should be no doubt of a guilty verdict; it's a farce.

Just going through the motions I feel. If roles were reversed the media would be all over this on a daily basis, street protests etc. Amazing how some cases are dealt with quickly and some not so.

The public will no doubt be outraged at the sheer unfairness of this, especially if there is no another retrial, but imagine how the police feel.

I feel shit is going to hit the fan no matter…the general public (already incensed with the handling of it all) if no new trial and/or a lenient sentence or the Pakistani/muslim community who’ll no doubt scream racism/Islamophobia if a new trial/sentenced.

Sean Beech sentenced on 22nd November 2024 to four and a half years for breaking a police officer’s nose. It is the longest prison sentence to date for anyone convicted of being involved in the violent disorder in Southport. From charging to sentence was about two and a half months.” https://x.com/HJB_News__/status/2057761789450887437

The law should be above pandering to public opinion. But this case has been a joke from the start.

Muslims recording the 'police brutality' and putting it online. The near riots and protests after the two thugs were taken into police custody, then released almost immediately. Then they had their ridiculous lawyer claiming the police should be charged with attempted assassination.

All this happened almost two years ago, and still it drags on, costing the tax payer millions.
