I bet he will get bail....and hopefully, when it comes, the sentence will be the 5 years max, I won't hold my breath though

"Amaaz was remanded in custody ahead of his sentencing, a date for which has not yet been decided.

A hearing is due to take place on Thursday to decide if he can be released on bail in the meantime."

I hope not! The scrawny little scrote would definitely be a flight risk, imo.

I realise we’re not privy to all the evidence the jury had to consider, but I’m surprised the beefier bruiser got a temporary reprieve. He could be a flight risk too.

if those two are not inbred, I'll eat my hat!

 I couldn’t possibly comment 🤐😇

And for the umpteenth time, I blame Mama Bear. Both for how she raised that pair of feral bruisers, but also for how she incited them to kick off at that airport.

For the avoidance of doubt, I don’t see colour, and I don‘t GAF about anyone’s religion. But I do call out mindless brutality whenever I see it.

No wonder the GMP have such a bad record with how they treat women.

"Six members of the family – including older brother Abid – are current or former officers with Greater Manchester Police.

Amaad himself twice applied unsuccessfully to join GMP.

Good news.

"Mohammed Fahir Amaaz, 20, and Muhammad Amaad, 25, both from Rochdale, will face a retrial. They will face a charge that they assaulted PC Zachary Marsden. The trial has been scheduled to begin on April 7, 2026."

"Mr Amaad was freed on unconditional bail. Amaaz was remanded into custody. A bail application for Amaaz has been adjourned until August 26."

Amaad, the older one, wasn't found guilty of anything. God knows why, but the jury couldn't come to a decision.

Hopefully when a retrial starts next year, a different jury will have better eyesight.

 You are welcome.

I have followed this from the start, one reason, it's Manchester, but the other, contrary to what an anon said a few days ago, this was started as a police brutality thread, nothing to do with the interest being because Muslims were involved.

It just proves how some people (ie, the ones who put out the initial video which was cut to suit their agenda) can give a completely false impression of what the truth really is.

I find it laughable, what with all the CCTVs that are around nowadays, that they thought the entire incident wouldn’t be made known, they certainly aren’t the sharpest. Can you imagine if there hadn’t been any footage - their word versus the police.

Sad that I am I get recommendations on YouTube (mainly American cop videos for some reason) and find myself watching a lot of these ferals whose defence is always “racism”. They upload, like these two Herbert’s, a tiny part of what went on…they initially garner sympathy until their behaviour in its entirety is shown. So I was relieved when the full video of these two thugs was shown. Police body cams are also the best thing for the police - the other advantage being bad cops are also outed.

I feel these two, being Muslim (I believe) and non white, believed they were untouchable. Bless lol.

nod What with selectively spliced and edited videos, plus all the AI-generated stuff, we’re rapidly reaching a point where we’ll no longer know what’s real.

Which of course has been the intention all along.

Very telling that the politicians who initially came out concerned for the thugs are now virtually silent since sentencing. No public apology or praise for the officers that I’ve noticed.

Labour MPs are facing a backlash over comments they made on the Manchester Airport police attack before the case went to court. A senior Tory MP, shadow justice secretary Robert Jenrick, said Labour politicians 'leapt to the defence of this thug before awaiting the full facts'.

A few examples…

  • Starmer - "Obviously there's a process now that will go into place but I completely understand the public concern having seen the footage myself."
  • Rochdale MP Paul Waugh branded the footage “shocking and disturbing” and met the affected constituent’s family. Mr Waugh added: "I have spoken to the family involved in the incident at Manchester Airport on Tuesday night, and it is clear they are deeply traumatised by what happened.“
  • Health Secretary Wes Streeting said it was “right the officer has been suspended”
  • Blackburn MP Adnan Hussain even claimed it showed a “complete abuse of power”
  • Manchester Rusholme MP Afzal Khan demanded “meaningful assurances” from police chiefs after what he called “excessive force against an unarmed civilian”
  • Bolton South and Walkden MP Yasmin Qureshi said she was “deeply concerned” by the video, adding “this has prompted serious public concern”.
  • Oldham East and Saddleworth MP Debbie Abrahams said she waned to “associate myself” with Mr Waugh’s remarks about “the appalling incident at Manchester International Airport”.

Paul Waugh who blatantly seemed to believe/sided with the ferals, visited them and claimed they were “deeply traumatised” now seems to be praising the officers involved…

Mr Waugh issued a statement following the conviction on Wednesday (July 30). In it, he said the incident showed how 'police put their own safety at risk every day to protect us all'. He called the assault 'violent' and 'ferocious'. Violent assault against our police is utterly unacceptable," he added. "The sheer ferocity of the assaults faced by these two brave women police officers was shocking, and so too was the vicious headbutt of a member of the public.

"The jury could also see for themselves the full context of why the police were called in the first place - to detain a man who had seriously assaulted a customer in a café at Manchester airport.

"When I met the Assistant Chief Constable of GMP at the time, I asked him to pass on my concerns for the officers injured in this incident. I was very clear that any perpetrator of criminal attacks on our police should face the full force of the law. This case shows how the police put their own safety at risk every day to protect us all, and have to react in real time to fast-moving incidents.

BIB: I find that hard to believe to be honest. Did he home visit the injured officers also? (rhetorical)

"Police officer faces criminal probe 'after sharing Manchester Airport brawl CCTV footage' that shows the moments before cop kicked man in the head"

He deserves a medal really. The police were content to let the initial video, appearing to show extreme police violence, go unchallenged, for God knows how long.

The unrest it was causing amongst Muslims in some areas was getting out of hand. Had the video showing what actually happened in the run-up to the police kicking the man on the floor, straight away, the agenda ridden initial video would have been cancelled out.

Why the police sit on information that tells the true story is a mystery, it benefits no one.

Should have been shown from the start.  Was not the police who started it.

No it  wasn't, but because of the bystander videos that were released, we all thought it was, which is plain from the start of this thread alone.

The cop who then released a video that showed the true picture, is now facing possible criminal charges.

What in your view was corrupt policing? The head kicking, the leaking of the video, or the possible criminal charges?

The cop who might be prosecuted for showing the video.  He's not corrupt, many at the top are though.

They're probably damned if they do, damned if they don't. On the one hand you say they're corrupt for taking action against him, on the other hand they'd probably be accused of negligence if they didn't.

And I don't think it's a case of well, he's a hero, because if he hadn't leaked it we'd never have the real picture - it would have come out anyway.

The problem the police have is that everything they do gets splashed across news pages and social media, and as a result they have to do what they can to show  they're acting appropriately.

Bottom line with this one seems to be that whoever leaked the video was in breach of his employment conditions and, it seems from that link, in breach of the law too, so surely they had no choice but to do something about it?

No matter what happens with the criminal charges, he'll probably end up losing his job, which in itself is sad and might sound unfair, but it's how the police handle this kind of thing - he'd have known it, and it's the risk he took.
