Yet so many people still believe the death penalty is inhumane.
I feel there are certain crimes that warrant the death penalty. The DP won’t stop crimes, the US is proof of that but something needs to be done. When 6 year olds are being stabbed to death then the current system proves it’s grossly inadequate.
If there is irrefutable proof then put them to death, put them out of our misery. I have no qualms hearing scum’s lives being snuffed…if that makes me no better than the murderous bits of shite then I can live with that.
6 years old stabbed to death whilst making friendship bracelets. Now tell me this arsehole deserves to draw breath.
Yet so many people still believe the death penalty is inhumane.
And yet.... there have been times when a murderer has been released to then go on and kill again, thereby imposing the death penalty on yet another victim.
I always wonder how their home life was growing up. There is no mention of any siblings. His parents must have known how evil he was. He had God knows what in his bedroom, a machete under his bed, a tub of ricin, manuals and online searches of the methods terrorists use to torture and kill...and apparently he had been obsessed with this material for years.
This has come out this week...it beggars belief.
"After his guilty plea, it emerged Rudakubana was referred to the Prevent scheme three times in the 17 months before the attack over concerns about his fixation with violence - but he was eventually deemed not to require any intervention."

Too many mistakes, too many cover ups. The parents should be questioned as to why they allowed all these things in his bedroom ffs! They knew!
“ The MP for Southport, where Axel Rudakubana murdered three young girls, has demanded a review of the killer's minimum 52-year jail sentence, arguing it is "not severe enough".
Labour's Patrick Hurley has asked the attorney general to review if the sentence was "unduly lenient" claiming it does not "reflect the crimes committed".
” Minister John Healey said international law prevented the UK from having a court system which imposed unlimited sentences on under-18s.” https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cz0l9mg7173o
About time the UK law system grew some balls and stopped treating criminals with kid gloves.
It must be heartbreaking for the victim's parents to see that clip of the killer's father getting him out of the cab a week before. Had he gone wherever he was going to go, he would probably have been arrested then and the Southport murders wouldn't have happened. It could be he would have hurt or killed other people, or it could be someone may have been able to stop him - we will never know, but it will be a 'what if' question that will haunt the parents forever.
You can't blame the father for getting him out of the cab, but he must shoulder a lot of responsibility for how his son was raised, and what was going on in his bedroom.
Starmer seems to be changing his tune and getting more in line with public opinion. He's referred to this monster as being 'vile and sick' and also called him a 'misfit'. Words he didn't use at the time of the murders. I think the penny must have dropped that he can't be his usual woke self any more when discussing this case without causing his popularity rating to drop even further.
isn't he close to breaking his own silly 'hate crime' laws by saying negative things about a non-white person?
The man is an insufferable flipflopping pillock
He's a slimy one for sure.
Given the horrific details that were about to be made public, he suddenly comes out with how vile and sick the killer is, having previously said nothing.
I don't believe a single word that comes out of his insincere lying two-faced gob.

He showed no compassion to the children or parents. Nasty black eyed PM!

I actually thought the judge did a good job.
He explained in detail how and why he was passing the sentences he did, he also explained why he couldn't pass a full life sentence, but thought Rudakubana would probably die in prison.
Even when he is 70, if he is still alive, there is no guarantee he will be released. The judges summing up will be on file and the parole board, (who are possibly not even born yet) will take all that into consideration.
i’ve just watched a video detailing an investigation into a horrible triple murder in the US (2023) where one of the murderers was 12yo at the time who admitted to murdering a 16 yo (iirc) girl with a gun. I was really surprised to not only see the lad’s name published in the media so openly over there but also the actual interrogation itself therefore obviously identifying him. He’s being tried as an adult along with his 16 & 17yo accomplices sometime in July of this year. Is this the norm ie releasing names/identifying before a court case etc / kids being tried as adults or is this due to the heinous nature of the crime?
