Kyle is a bully, his show was horrendous, thankfully it was cancelled soon after his 'victim' committed suicide.
"Tabloid television host Jeremy Kyle defended his confrontational presentation style on Thursday at an inquest into the death of a guest, saying the man “needed to tell the truth”.
Exploiting vulnerable people for entertainment while the audience lapped it up.
I know the guests weren't forced to go on the show but some were clearly mentally ill and should have been allowed to appear.
He is a bully and a coward.
I saw a clip once where he was goading a man, encouraging the audience to jeer at him, and generally being a total creep. The man had enough, went for Kyle, and he visibly shrunk back looking petrified. His big burly minders dashed in before the man could clock him one...pity that.
Can't stand him. A bully, coward and right nasty man.
He really goaded that poor man who I believe was telling the truth. He, in my mind, was responsible for contributing to that man being mentally harmed, poor bloke.
I think Kyle enjoyed bullying them knowing they couldn't touch him. Syl, I remember that one, he was scared, but burly bouncers came on and he got mouthy again.😠
People love watching a train wreck. He tapped into that fascination..
Yep...Jerry Springer was the master of the art.
I watched a few of his shows with a morbid fascination. Men dressing up and acting like babies, one man cut his own penis off to spite his boyfriend, women encouraged to fight....it was like prodding bears in an arena.
Jeremy Kyle was a wannabe Springer, without the charm.

It was pre internet and YouTube, before we became more desensitized.
It was quite the spectacle back in the day..
I wasn't a big fan of the show, but I won't say I didn't watch it some, and laugh at these people and what they got themselves into..
I never saw this Kyle fellow, but recognize the name..

You haven't missed much not watching any of Kyles shows.
Whereas Springer had some charm and could be empathetic, Kyle was a sneering bully.
You are right though, these shows had their day pre internet, now if people enjoy watching humiliation, they just watch You Tubes or join in the social media bullying.
"The Jeremy Kyle Show was axed in 2019 following the very sad and tragic passing of a guest to the show who had taken and been advised that he had failed, a lie detector test around matters of infidelity in a relationship. The gentleman in question had attended another lie detector test with a different polygraph examiner following sitting the test with the show and had been found to be telling the truth in this second test.
The show claimed their polygraph examinations to be around 90% accurate which is a very high claim for any lie detector testing and not supported by research. During an investigation into the show following its termination, the “Director of Aftercare” for the production advised that he was “naïve” regarding the exact figures for accuracy behind lie detection.
Academics advised the inquiry that lie detector testing is estimated to be around 66% accurate and this is a more realistic figure."

In this instance then once "The gentleman in question had attended another lie detector test with a different polygraph examiner following sitting the test with the show and had been found to be telling the truth in this second test."
There should have been no reason for suicide - as long as his loved one saw this and believed it. A representative from the Jeremy Kyle show should have been with him and given a pledge to issue an apology and amendment - bringing him back on the show - assuming these shows were aired live. If they were not aired live but sometime later then that section should have been pulled / amended once the findings of the second lie detector test was known.
They were not aired live, in fact this particular episode was not aired at all. The man killed himself a week after he had been on the show.
Lie detector tests are certainly not foolproof, nowhere near, but the way Kyle went on after the man had failed his test, he gives the impression that they are.

He bullied the life out of him. He's been cleared by court, but I'm sure he hasn't by thousands of people. I cant stand the man, never could.😡

I think it would be hard, given the mans state of mind even before he appeared on the show, to find anyone else legally culpable in his death.
But why anyone, knowing how fragile someone is, encourage an audience to boo and jeer that person, knowing the lie detector possibly has a 44% chance of being wrong, yet still call him a liar and insult him, telling his partner she is too good for him etc.....well, he has to live with that.
