I seem to have hit a brick wall now with buying pressies....mind you, I have been in for a week trying to get over this horrible bug I caught last Tuesday at the hospital.

There is one thing about being stuck in feeling like death....when you do get out, it's heaven. So today, been out, ate out because it was so lovely, dry, sunny, and almost warm.

I still have three men to buy for (the women are easy)

I never see her and don't know what she likes and I sound ancient saying this but I don't know what young people like these days.

My dad's wall art came, it's bloody enormous.

Me and my "let's just guess the size" strikes again.

Him and two of his brother's, they all looked pissed.

Lights are on, nobody is home look.

Still after asking a few discreet questions that's one he really likes.

They certainly were Mags.

That was taken on their annual get together in Blackpool.

I went to Blackpool a few times, I loved it.

Wouldn't mind going again!!

Your cousins 16 year old daughter, how about a matching scarf and bobble hat, they do some lovely ones with nice designs, I bought a younger relative one a couple of years ago and she loved it.

When my son was young and living away from home, every year we made him a hamper up, lots of Christmas goodies, far better than the prepared bought hampers....which cost a fortune and half the stuff goes unused.

We kept this up and now make grandson one up every year.
In return, he makes one up for us, so it's like a tradition now.

I'm going Christmas shopping with my mother tomorrow.

I haven't been to the shops with her for years, she has a tendency to go missing.

Shopping with my mother was actually a nice day out yesterday.

I treated her to her lunch and then we did some shopping.

I bought Shorty a 'Jimmy Chew' toy for her Christmas

They had Furrsace dog handbags but they were a bit flash!!

I'm going to buy some food items that always sell out near the big day.

Skooshy cream, pigs in blankets, emergency stuffing, frozen sprouts.

I love sprouts, I'm always the one who peels them on Christmas morning.

I don't mind cause I snaffle a few and eat them raw.

Like mince pies and dates, I only ever buy them at Christmas time.

Not raw, but I love sprouts too. Especially quickly tossed into a pan of cubed pancetta and some butter.

Pretty much all done with my Christmas shopping, barring a couple of perishable things I’ll get sorted nearer the time.

It‘s my turn to organise a table for 10 of my mates for our usual pre-Christmas get together. I always wrack my brain trying to figure out something a little different to give as table goody bags for each of them. This year, I think I’ve cracked it

A pretty voile bag, with individual ‘diamond’ toe divider stubs, for toenail painting. So much better than those spongey things that never stay put! And a bottle of THE best fastest-drying clear top coat I’ve used for years. It’s amazing stuff.

Any empty space in the bags will be topped off with loads of little foil-wrapped chocs.

I love mince pies, I was going to try making my own this year.

I've bought the wee silver dishes in preparation.

I love carrots as well and cabbage.

The only down side with cabbage is it stinks the house out.

I mean the cooking of it, not me farting once I've eaten it.
