It's very sad. He had been dropped from his record label, and apparently there had been a lot of online criticism of his cheesy style, he probably felt he was a 'has been', and I guess that's hard for a man who has known nothing else but singing from his early teens.

Obviously he still had millions of fans around the world, it's a shame he will never know that now.
