FFS, what part of them both saying Elon ain’t really going anywhere, is so hard to understand?Ā

Avon, I’m curious: Do you agree with this post? (seen on X):

I wouldn’t celebrate Space Nazi Elon Musk ā€œleaving politicsā€ just yet. He still rakes in billions of dollars in taxpayer money, he destroyed the very institutions that were investigating him, and he stole all our data. And DOGE is now being run by the main author of Project 2025.

Ā From the recent interviews I have seen with Musk it seems he has fallen out with the Trump administration to the extent he won't have that much involvement going forwards, except for lobbying for the interests of his companies.

The subsidies his companies get I don't have an issue with really. Irrespective of his poor character as a father or husband his products are clearly to the benefit of America, and humanity.

There were clearly a lot of conflicts on interest with his DOGE role and the lack of oversight which leads to the possibility that he misused his office. However, a lot of his data access requests got blocked by the courts. The stronger case is stalling or shelving investigations against his companies as there is circumstantial evidence to support that. However, again there isn't solid evidence he did so.Ā

Personally, I think his main concern with DOGE was to cut the national debt which is clearly a big risk to America, and Musk's wealth and companies by extension. He failed miserably in that regard however which does lead me to question if he had other motives he was focusing on instead, but I just don't know.Ā

Ā Whilst I have no problem believing everyone around #47 hated him, I’m dubious he’s completely stepped away for good. Why would he choose to distance himself from the ultimate power of the presidency he bought?

I’m betting this is all for appearances’ sake, and he’ll probably resurface again to meddle in the midterms.

Ā Avon’s right….shots fired! nodĀ Elon has publicly trashed 47’s Big Beautiful Bill, and Dawg’s probably cheering. Posted on X:

This massive, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination.

Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.’

… 😳 Elon is still having a bit of a meltdown…(this one’s for Dawg):

ā€œElon Musk continued his rampage against Donald Trump’s spending bill on Tuesday night, setting the stage for an ugly showdown with the president’s faithful.ā€œ

https://www.thedailybeast.com/elon-musk-keeps-on-dissing-trump-in-flurry-of-new-posts/

Given that Mango Mussolini immediately attacks anyone who so much as gives him a side eye, it’s interesting to see he’s remained mute (so far) in the face of Musk trashing the Bill. I’m still convinced he’s too much of a snivelling coward to provoke and piss Musk off too much.

Ā He's done with government as it operates now. Getting rid of it is different than trying to operate from within it.

Ā

Perhaps he will bankroll a 3rd party. He has enough Libertarian views to operate in that party. Years ago I thought someone wealthy would need bank roll a 3rd party. Now I'm doubtful even that would matter. Americans are locked in a binary death spiral..

Ā He's not wrong TBF. Trumps BBB significantly adds to the deficit which is the complete opposite of what DOGE was set up to achieve.Ā

That said I don't know why Elon is whining so much on Twitter. He was given unprecedented access to identify cuts and had significant resources to do so and completely failed. He went after small ticket items like DEI programs and agencies he didn't like such as USAID which comes across more like petty grievances rather than any serious effort to tackle the deficit. Estimates of cuts fell from $2T to $1T and then $190bn and now it looks like he will be lucky to have achieved $9bn. He torched his reputation and value of Tesla in the process. He has no one to blame other than himself for that clown show.Ā

The US's fiscal path is unsustainable so they either accept big tax hikes and / or spending cuts to things like healthcare and social security or embrace insolvency head on.Ā

Ā Your pics are always massive, can you edit/re-size please. Yes I know I’m only an anon but it’s still a polite request regardless…doesn’t matter whether I’m on a large desktop screen or iPad they take forever to scroll by.

Thank you.

Ā It’s now evolved into a ceremonial meltdown šŸ˜‚ Musk refuses to STFU about his opposition to the Bill.

Why do you think #47 is still not publicly pushing back against the onslaught? Iā€˜ve never seen him be so restrained!

Two gargantuan narcissistic egos….

One has the most powerful job in the world. The other has the most grotesque amount of wealth in the world + an unparalleled social media platform and presence, and whose influence and money landed a presidency.

Both are socially inept, deeply corrupt, capricious, malevolent and vengeful.

Few people have the balls to ever utter the word ā€˜No!’ at either of them.

What could possibly go wrong? ….Ā

The segment, 23 to 27 minutes, I found rivetting.
That guests summing up of Musk is alarming, alarming because if what he says is right, and I think it is, it shows how America, one of the most powerful countries in the world, has been corrupted so badly.

God knows how Musk and Trump will be remembered in a hundred years time. And what will be the state of the world after people like this are finished with it.

nodĀ Syl, when Professor Scott Galloway speaks, I always sit up and listen.

His takes on any given subject are always bang-on, imv. And he’s one of the very few who has the spine to publicly speak out against the steady decimation of America under trump’s 2 presidencies.

Ā I didn't know who he was, but he certainly has the air of truth and sincerity about him.

Ā

I watch a lot of Morgans interviews, he actually lets people speak, and he tackles some great subjects.Ā

Ā Why would Elon Musk accept a position which took him away from running successful companies and significantly reduce his net worth just to tinker around the edges? It's possible that he got sucked in by Trump (who apparently can be very charismatic in private) but it doesn't make a lot of rational sense.

There's a rumour circulating that Elon and Scott Bessent got into a shouting match recently where Bessent accused Musk of failung to deliver any meaningful cuts and a physical altercation occurred. There's also a rumour that Elon is trying to kill the BBB as it takes away EV credits, which affects Tesla.Ā

Trump has also been rather quiet in the last few days. Who knows what is coming?Ā

Ā Another theory that triggered the ā€˜Kill Bill!’ meltdown, is that trump ended up withdrawing the nomination of Elon’s pick to head NASA, who also happens to be a personal friend of Elon’s.
