Don't know what it is like over there but here FTB get priced out of new homes not only due to inflated prices but also investors being able to pay more than them, even above asking price. They then rent back the property to individuals at a monthly payment which would gave been higher than their mortgage payment had they been able to secure the property. The whole thing is wild and youngsters get trapped in a vicious cycle.
If we could sort fairness out in the property market I think a lot of social tension would vanish.

We had a problem with institutional buyers, at least hear in Texas.

But building here is fairly simple and when demand spikes we usually can create the supply to offset it. We are still building left and right. At least half my assignments are new construction..

At this point the ultra-rich as just laughing in our faces as they take everything we have. No wonder Musk wants to get to Mars along with his other billionaire mates once they have looted this planet.

Sorry to disrupt the Elon thread...just to say, the majority of Whining has always been in done in, well...Whine.

The closed part of the forum, where members have always had access, is pretty quiet nowadays, we had too few members, so most of the new topics have been posted in this open part so guests could contribute if they wanted to.

Milei will always be in trouble because he's bringing fiscal responsibility to a country that's never tried anything like that before.

Apparently he put out a Twitter post shortly before the launch promoting it, which is why a lot of crypto traders invested heavily. To be fair, I haven't seen the post either.

If he has promoted it knowing it is a rug pull then that's daylight robbery of ordinary investors. Crypto is obviously high risk but insider trading rigs the market.

But he "promotes" a lot of stuff. I think he realized this was probably a bad idea and deleted the post. Now, if he personally profited he's likely in trouble.
