If we were allied with Ukraine, we should have defensed it with American soldiers in 2014 and again in 2022.

And any European country allied with Ukraine should have done the same..

It wasn't that long ago (up until Dec 6, 1941), that we had that mentality.

Now we have assumed the role of world policeman and exporter of all that's good and decent. 🙄

And we are broke. That said, Trump is very inconsistent in why he's doing what he's doing. He lacks the temperament to use restraint when challenged. So every time we takes a step back, he takes one forward when challenged.

Trump is BS merchant of the highest order, that is abundantly obvious.

In any event, I wish your country the best of luck. I think the US is a net positive for the world. It's about time my attention was on the UK and how my family, friends and the people I care about are going to deal with the next few years...

He's a salesman, not a statesman. I get that he's obnoxious. I have to stay focused on what the idea is, and not the jackass implementing it..

That said, the status quo was untenable. I guess he could be worse, but I'm not sure how.
