There is a new series of Grace being shown on ITV...based on the Peter James bestsellers. It's worth watching.
We watched it, great.
I've read all the books, love the character Grace.
I read some of his books ages ago.
Tha actor John Simm plays him very well, but when I read the books, the picture I conjured up of how Grace would look, was nothing like Simm...funny how our imagination works.

Same. I think as you say, our imagination takes over and we have the characters in our mind, different from the actors.
I saw him more rugged, bigger built, with a sterner voice. A kind sad soul, I was happy when he met someone lol.
I am watching Celebrity Big Brother....I really do see it as a social experiment just as much as an entertainment show.
Micky Rourke was this year's 'problem' housemate. If he had any career left I doubt this appearance has done him much good...he is pretty awful.
Anyway, he was booted out yesterday, it'll be shown in tonights episode.
Mickey Rourke was very disrespectful and prejudiced. He won't get his fee since he left through the back door, so the whole venture has been pointless and damaging for him. I loved the film "The Wrestler", it was sad and rather poignant and he was outstanding in that, as was the Springsteen soundtrack. Shame Rourke turned out to be so rude and narrow minded. I have watched every episode of Black Mirror and thought it was an excellent very creative series. The first episode is surprisingly a tearjerker, but none the less exceptional for that. Some episodes were superior to others but only the last episode really missed the mark (imo obviously). If you are a fan this series won't let you down, although it has a more humanistic approach than usual it is still highly surreal.
Every episode of the previous Black Mirrors were superb.
I may even reapply to Netflix to watch the latest batch if they are not due to be shown on TV.

Black Mirror is on my list I’ve heard really good stuff about it.

This season (7) has been a bit disappointing for me.
One and Two were good...the third, 'HOTEL REVERIE'... I gave up half way, I found it boring. I watched episode 4 last night, PLAYTHING...it was so far-fetched, even for Black Mirror...but watchable.

Two more to go in this season.
It has been a bit hit and miss. That 3rd one was way too long.
The 5th one has a good idea in that you can go into your old photographs and a have a look around and re-live the moment- I'd love to be able to do that!
Overall I'd rate the series 6/10, so not as good as previous ones.
Everything Jill Halfpenny is in is worth watching, she has a knack of picking the best drama's.
She is also the person who performed the best jive ever seen on Strictly come dancing...a very talented lady.

She's a great underrated actress. Love her in everything.

The first time I saw her was in Coronation Street, she was memorable in that too....and that, unbelievably, was 25 years ago.

I couldn't remember how long it was. I knew it was a while, but 25 yrs? wow 😲

And speaking of Corrie...one of the original cast members has just passed away....RIP Dennis Tanner. x
One actor and one actress that you cannot stand - to the extent that it puts you off watching anything they are in.
1. Clive Owen - I cannot stand his voice, very patronising and smarmy. He's got a very annoying face as well - whether he is or isn't, it looks like he's wearing a full set of false teeth.
2. Keira Knightley - pretty from the nose up, but from the nose down she freaks me out. A weird jawline, an overbite, and a creepy smile. She was in a film called A Dangerous Method where she played some kind of mental patient in a straitjacket who receives electric shock treatment. She gurns anyway, but this was quite spectacular.

Keira Knightley has to be one of the most insipid boring actresses ever to simper across the screen.
