I love it when people recreate an old photo to how they are now.
Me, OH and Grandson have three pics, one when he was about 8, one when he was 18 and first starting UNI, and one 5 years later when he graduated...we are all stood in the same positions, I have then framed on the wall.
Oh that's such a good idea. Memories as he is growing.up x
Thanks Mags, actual photos are far nicer than everything stored on a computer, I think.

Has anyone else noticed the irony of, since the government defined, for the confused, the legal interpretation of who was a man and who was a woman, there seems to be more transvestites around...ie, men dressing in womens clothes.
I have seen several wandering around recently, one causing an argument, the others just browsing or buying in the shops, in the last couple of weeks.
I am not talking of biological men who live quietly feeling female, I am talking of men who seem to have thrown a frock and heels on and not bothered to even shave.
Very odd.

Some of them are sights to behold.
It reminds me of my younger days...the gay village was just starting out in Manchester. I sometimes frequented in a club in that area, not a gay one, but next door to maybe the first gay pub in Manchester.
Some of the men/ladies, wore really over the top sequined clothes, when they lifted their arms they had more hair sprouting out than some had on their heads. Bald was in, (they didn't all wear wigs) and you could see the panstick lines where they ended around the jawline.

Trans issues ONLY became a thing, after trump and his MAGAts specifically targeted trans people, and made them an overblown thing 🙄
Tell that to JK..
You are way too obsessed with Trump. Trans issues became a thing when people with dicks tried to invade women's spaces..
Something Blair has never tried to do..
And that‘s wrong, I agree. But it’s a stand-alone issue that should be officially legislated against, and legally settled in favour of women’s sports and rest rooms.
trump zeroed in and still bangs on and on about it ad infinitum, because he knows it’s what his base wants to hear.
Are you saying all the MAGA trans hyperbole isn’t responsible for demonising and targeting such a minuscule demographic? Just let people live their lives, ffs!
I mean, seriously, unless a trans woman tried to compete in a race against your daughter, when was the last time a transgender person impacted your life in any way? 🤷🏻♀️

He bangs on about it because 80% of the people agree with him..
It's why this thread has so many posts, and until you brought him up, none had anything to with Trump..
He doesn't need Mara Lago. He lives rent free in your head..
” I'm seeing quite a bit of comment about this, so I want to make a couple of points.
I'm not owed eternal agreement from any actor who once played a character I created. The idea is as ludicrous as me checking with the boss I had when I was twenty-one for what opinions I should hold these days.
Emma Watson and her co-stars have every right to embrace gender identity ideology. Such beliefs are legally protected, and I wouldn't want to see any of them threatened with loss of work, or violence, or death, because of them.
However, Emma and Dan in particular have both made it clear over the last few years that they think our former professional association gives them a particular right - nay, obligation - to critique me and my views in public. Years after they finished acting in Potter, they continue to assume the role of de facto spokespeople for the world I created.
When you've known people since they were ten years old it's hard to shake a certain protectiveness. Until quite recently, I hadn't managed to throw off the memory of children who needed to be gently coaxed through their dialogue in a big scary film studio. For the past few years, I've repeatedly declined invitations from journalists to comment on Emma specifically, most notably on the Witch Trials of JK Rowling. Ironically, I told the producers that I didn't want her to be hounded as the result of anything I said.
The television presenter in the attached clip highlights Emma's 'all witches' speech, and in truth, that was a turning point for me, but it had a postscript that hurt far more than the speech itself. Emma asked someone to pass on a handwritten note from her to me, which contained the single sentence 'I'm so sorry for what you're going through' (she has my phone number). This was back when the death, rape and torture threats against me were at their peak, at a time when my personal security measures had had to be tightened considerably and I was constantly worried for my family's safety. Emma had just publicly poured more petrol on the flames, yet thought a one line expression of concern from her would reassure me of her fundamental sympathy and kindness.
Like other people who've never experienced adult life uncushioned by wealth and fame, Emma has so little experience of real life she's ignorant of how ignorant she is. She'll never need a homeless shelter. She's never going to be placed on a mixed sex public hospital ward. I'd be astounded if she's been in a high street changing room since childhood. Her 'public bathroom' is single occupancy and comes with a security man standing guard outside the door. Has she had to strip off in a newly mixed-sex changing room at a council-run swimming pool? Is she ever likely to need a state-run rape crisis centre that refuses to guarantee an all-female service? To find herself sharing a prison cell with a male rapist who's identified into the women's prison?
I wasn't a multimillionaire at fourteen. I lived in poverty while writing the book that made Emma famous. I therefore understand from my own life experience what the trashing of women's rights in which Emma has so enthusiastically participated means to women and girls without her privileges.
The greatest irony here is that, had Emma not decided in her most recent interview to declare that she loves and treasures me - a change of tack I suspect she's adopted because she's noticed full-throated condemnation of me is no longer quite as fashionable as it was - I might never have been this honest.
Adults can't expect to cosy up to an activist movement that regularly calls for a friend's assassination, then assert their right to the former friend's love, as though the friend was in fact their mother. Emma is rightly free to disagree with me and indeed to discuss her feelings about me in public - but I have the same right, and I've finally decided to exercise it. “. https://x.com/jk_rowling/status/1972600904185483427
JFK as eloquent as ever. Watson thought she could have her cake and eat it only to find she’s gagging on it.

They shouldn't make you feel sick. Men who wear women's clothes and don't attempt to feminise themselves may simply prefer women's clothes (cross dresses basically) and are tired of having to hide it. Or they may be trans but waiting to transition due to lack of money or oestrogen has not started working yet etc.
There is no way these men should ever be permitted in women 's private spaces like public toilets or locker rooms. But if they are not harming you in any way and just trying to live their own life it's a shame they get ridiculed for just trying to live the life they need to. Women to male trans get a lot less ridicule because they aren't as noticeable.

Thanks for at least admitting he exacerbates the issue. And the 80% who agree with him are perfectly free to do so.
Last I checked, I’m equally free to express an opinion that transgender issues pre-date the trump era. They’ve always existed. My point was, the hyperbole and the demonisation of a minuscule demographic of Americans have never been such a hot topic to the extent it has all become in recent years.
That’s largely thanks to him igniting and inflaming the whole issue. My opinion, as I said…
I usually try to not take threads off-topic, and I very rarely do. I doubt I’ve posted more than 5 times throughout this entire thread, in fact.
In case you hadn’t noticed, there are only 2 people here who can pull me up about going off-topic and/or dictate the narrative. And you’re sure as hell not one of them.
Until I see the word ‘Admin’ under your avi here, do please fuck off and go be a manly man the hell away from me.
