It's completely bonkers how society has evolved that trans women were considered to be actual women by many. Never would have happened without easily led fools having access to the internet.
There was a phase, not so much lately, when wokies would call trans women 'women', and real women 'cis women'. It was the real women they gave an identifying tag to!
It would crack me up when someone dropped 'cis women' into a conversation, as if it were a perfectly normal thing to do.
Never heard that ciswomen. If I was called that there would be a row, no.mistake.
“The NHS will be pursued if it does not follow new guidance on single-sex spaces, the chairwoman of the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) has said. Currently the NHS guidance says trans people should be accommodated according to the way they dress, their names and their pronouns. Under the ruling this would be scrapped. “ https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ce84054nqnyo
This is the organisation that is of most concern to me… you’re at your most vulnerable, whether at your GPs or as an in-patient…every woman at some point will need medical attention. I hope the NHS implements this asap if not I hope the law comes down on them hard.
Some stupid bastard on Twitter said we should be put on a list with with Afghanistan and other countries with terrible treatment of women now because of the court ruling.I

I couldn’t care less what a bloke in a frock called me tbh. I’m female, born and bred, and nothing they call me can take that away from me.

Oh and we can say goodbye to rejoining the EU.
🙄
The hysteria is off the scale.
In certain groups online it may be....in the real world, as long as the law is followed, sympathetically in some cases, I doubt there will be much ado.
How many of these pretend “women” are now going to drop their act?…no legal standing in demanding access to female changing rooms, toilets, sports and the likes.
The case against Sandie Peggie... Upton must be piddling his Y-fronts at the thought of undressing with his fellow male colleagues.
Don't forget the Darlington case where the nurses had to share a changing room with a dude called 'Rose'
He even whinged they weren't getting undressed.
Yeah, the results of both these cases will be interesting re the ruling.
The most disgusting thing I read about the "Rose" case (apart from the obvious) was "The NHS trust’s HR department dismissed the nurse's concerns, stating they should “broaden their mindset” and “be educated”.
Will "Rose" now be told to get himself "re-educated" and given the same advice the nurses were given ie "Ward Manager’s office or a patient discharge room which opens onto a busy ward corridor"
Does this mean trans men have to use the ladies loos now, if people have to use the same toilet as their birth sex, or is it only trans women this affects?
What will happen in the military and the police? Will trans servicewomen and trans policewomen be treated as male?

I think there will have to be a lot of Unisex toilets to accommodate everyone. A unisex toilet should have a fully enclosed toilet with hand basin and dryer.
I go to a couple of restaurants that have had these for years, there is also a separate female toilet ...no separate male toilet.

Women and men quite happily use the same toilets so long as they are private stand alone cubicles, such as those seen at garages ,restaurants, etc. A ladies toilet where the cubicles are not so private is a different thing. There's not so much privacy there. Women value privacy more than men when it comes to toilets.
I'm guessing if you've got a reconstructed winkie you can happily join the blokes at the urinal. So to answer your question it would depend what bits you've got that determines how you use the facilities.
We are talking about 0.5 percent of the population FFS. Why does the rest of the population have to bend everything around them?

Kishwer Falkner, the chair of the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC):
"She said the judgment meant only biological women could use single-sex changing rooms and women’s toilets, or participate in women-only sporting events and teams, or be placed in women’s wards in hospitals." https://www.theguardian.com/society/2025/apr/17/nhs-guidance-single-sex-spaces-hospitals-supreme-court-ruling
It's down to biological sex, not what bits you (surgically) have or don't have now, so I would assume that includes transmen is how I interpret it - I could be wrong though.

I think you are right.
Which is why I think we will be seeing a lot more unisex toilets popping up....saves confusion.

One problem I see is who the hell is going to police it all? Organisations can to a certain extent, but what about the likes of public toilets on the High Street (or what's left of them)? Relying on the police to enforce this ruling when, say, a mtf has an aggressive hissy fit when he's confronted,is debatable...there's barely a police response to many disturbances/crimes as it is.
The ruling is a great start. However, I truly believe it's going to make a lot of these whack-jobs dig their flipper-sized stilettos in deeper to antagonise females further.
I'm now curious if this ruling will have any effect on the likes of any UK based online female-only groups/lesbian dating sites, now and in the future? Who can forget Australian Sall Grover's ongoing case.
Some biological women look quite masculine, I can sadly see it happening where they are challenged by terfy women and thrown out of their own loo's. This could open up a minefield if it get's out of hand
By the time we have separate toilets for ladies, gents, disabled, unisex, plus any others that might come along - we will walk into a pub and it will be one big row of toilets with a tiny little bar at the end, with just enough space for a table and a couple of chairs.
