Initially I thought this was someone taking the mickey, deliberately trying to sound like a 9 year old but it’s legit as far as I can tell and doing the rounds on the web.  It’s way too long to post here so the complete letter c/w list of demands is in the links. Here is the general tone of it all…

 

“ The previous status quo was a compromise we tolerated out of fear. That ends now. Since even those meager protections are now being stripped away by a handful of people who hate us beyond reason, as a community we are now presenting a list of non-negotiable demands for immediate action:

 

 We are no longer willing to compromise where our lives and rights to exist are concerned, and will not be pushed back to the margins or society or segregated in any way. Nothing less than full inclusion is acceptable.

 

Transgender people have always existed, we are not going away, and we will not comply with any laws that remove our rights or restrict our lives.

The Scottish Government spent almost £374,000 in its lengthy court battle over the legal definition of “woman”, according to newly released figures.

"Data obtained through a Freedom of Information (FOI) request by the Scottish Conservatives showed that ministers spent £157,816.30 on the second case brought by For Women Scotland (FWS), which was heard by the Outer House, the Inner House, and ultimately the UK Supreme Court.

This figure includes £148,925.00 in counsel fees, £7,552.00 in court fees, and £1,339.30 in miscellaneous costs.

These costs came on top of the £216,182.50 reported during the initial judicial review, bringing the total spent to £373,998.80.
