The Khelif controversy is a tricky one. It seems to boil down to is s/he a him or a her. And that seems to depend on whether you base it on his/her registered sex at birth (female, I believe (s)he had/has female genitalia) or if you base it on the latest genetic test that shows XY (male) chromosomes. In the end it probably doesn't matter which pigeonhole you use, if someone has male chromosomes they shouldn't be fighting women.

What’s tricky about it? He never went through with an appeal re a previous banning, hasn’t gone through with his threat of suing those who claimed he was male and now hasn’t taken a swab to determine his true sex…does that sound like a bona fide female fighting for her right to fight? He has had every chance to prove his sex.

And I agree no bloke should be fighting females, in the past, now or in the future.

Tricky because there can be ambiguity around being biologically male or female, despite what the chromosomes say.

Like I said he’s had chances to determine his sex, it has nothing to do with what he was registered at birth as / how he identifies, lived his life as / having “f” on his passport…a simple non intrusive swab test would prove what sex he is. Nothing tricky about that imo.

Yes she was right to.  Sick of them trying to erase women's role in life!

Judges will no longer have to refer to criminal defendants by the gender of their choice in an update after the Supreme Court’s transgender ruling.

The revised guidance abandons self-identification language and reaffirms the binary definition of sex to state that the legal definition of a woman means biological female rather than sex attained by the acquisition of a gender recognition certificate (GRC).

It says that non-binary status has no legal footing and sets out that courts may refuse contested pronouns.

Rape suspects should not be referred to as female and there is “no entitlement” for anyone to use single-sex services intended for the opposite sex, the guidance says.

It previously stated that judges should refer to criminal defendants by the gender they have chosen for themselves. “ https://archive.ph/Q1HVg

Meanwhile…

Robin Moira White (trans and a barrister) felt humiliated and frightened after being “attacked” re using the ladies loo (House of Commons?)…”it left me white, shaking…”. Clarification was sought by these female “attackers” and UK Parliament replied…

 Toilets and changing facilities

There are several visitor toilets and changing facilities at UK Parliament.

These include a Changing Places toilet.

Members of the public should use facilities that correspond to their biological sex or the gender-neutral “ https://x.com/AllianceLGB/status/1937246799221371042

Hopefully Robin can now pee in peace, back in the gents. wink

They provide gender neutral toilets, they are the toilets he should have used.
But then, this is the man who says "Women who say there is a clash between trans rights and women's rights are mad".

Where’s the validation in that?…they need to be where the women are at (and to keep them safe).

Their needs don't surpass biological womens needs.

I do think it's right that in public places there should be a toilet designed for trans people. After all, many transgender women would be genuinely afraid to use the male toilets.

Whatever her outward appearance this lady identifies as female and we have to be sensitive to that, let he without sin cast the first stone please

Are the women safe from trans?  That's the question.  Any man can say his trans to use women's toilets, changing rooms etc.

I don't feel safe with men dressed as women in a changing room or toilet. Where's my rights?

You know that, I know that and the Law agrees…the only ones that disagree are the blokes in frocks with a handful of deluded female supporters. He and his ilk don’t want their ow loos they want the females.

This barrister knowingly broke the Law, UK Laws he proclaims to uphold. He’s promised to fight for trans toilet rights so we haven’t heard the last of him.

He is rumoured to have been involved, in the legal sense, with two rape centres, one being the Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre when tranny Mridul Wadhwa was at the helm. https://juliebindel.substack.com/p/robin-moira-white

Down the pan Magica wink (sorry couldn’t resist).

I wouldn’t feel safe and I wouldn’t feel my daughter or grandkids were safe either. I don’t give a hoot how many transphobic slurs are thrown my way they need to keep these men out of female spaces.

JKR still holding her own as only she can…the threats haven’t worked, the endless criticising of Harry Potter hasn’t worked so they attack her appearance…being oldugly and looking like a tranny is a firm favourite it seems. Her latest reply had me cackling -

Attention all men telling me I look like a trans woman: I’m sensing that this isn’t meant as a compliment. In fact, the implication seems to be that trans women look male, or odd, or ugly. This is appallingly transphobic and I’ll thank you to take your bigotry off my timeline.” https://x.com/jk_rowling/status/1937466077350592860

They shoot themselves in the foot every time lollollol

You use the female only toilets, men use the gents, and gender neutral toilets are for all.

The law is still wishy washy on this. Clearer guidelines need to be set.

For eg, trans people visiting parliament (where this latest row blew up) are expected to use the gender-neutral toilets, but trans women who work there can still use the female toilets.
