A friend of mine had a real fear of clowns, and a greater fear of those living statues you see on the continent. We were on holiday somewhere in Spain, and one regularly stood on the main street near our hotel. My friend simply could not pass her, so every night when we went out we would have to walk the other way, and it took us ages to get back to the main strip.
There is no reasoning with someone who has a phobia like this.
😂 I’m not that far gone, Syl. But the sight of a clown face instantly gives me goosebumps and a visceral ‘look-away-NOW!!’ reaction.
Add home-help humanoids to that. I can load my own dishwasher, thank you very much!

I think the only real fear I have is spiders. I know it makes no sense, but they make me feel physically sick. I have been known to exit a room and block under the door if one is in the room I am in and no one is at home.

I'm like that with flies. They don't live long in my house.

Horrible things, I will give them the chance to fly out, but if they don't, they are dead.
At the moment we are getting loads of tiny little flies in, trying to swat them is a job....nippy little buggers.
