I think the only real fear I have is spiders. I know it makes no sense, but they make me feel physically sick. I have been known to exit a room and block under the door if one is in the room I am in and no one is at home.

 I'm like that with flies.  They don't live long in my house.

Horrible things, I will give them the chance to fly out, but if they don't, they are dead. es

At the moment we are getting loads of tiny little flies in, trying to swat them is a job....nippy little buggers.

A couple of nights ago I saw, on the bedroom ceiling...a SPIDER...cry

He isn't struck on them himself, so catching them and putting them safely outside is never going to happen in our house. That would be my preferred method, but beggars can't be choosers.

Anyway, naked as a jaybird and armed with a paper roll, he climbed on the bed, stretching precariously and wobbling about (I could do with a firmer mattress, really). He caught the little blighter and put it to rest down the loo.

It's now Spider season here, a time of year I hate.
