This may have been the pic you meant Fluffy, though I certainly don't lookl ike Dr Quinn medicine woman....not on any pics. I look nothing like her, Jane Seymour is lovely though, so I am flattered.
The pic I have posted on my avi...(and it was taken on the eve of the millennium) I remember NAA commented that Grannies should never wear studded tops. (They are pearls, not studs)
I wouldn't mind betting she wasn't a looker nor a spring chicken. She had a right old ladies voice, as I recall. All twee and lavender

She never tried to demean the way I look....just my top.
Now the odious Claire was a different matter. She loved to wax lyrical about how ugly I (and others were) I had already seen her pic and knew she was unattractive, but I never said anything.
When her pic was shown on a forum ... oddly enough, she never mentioned how ugly people were after that.
I think it may have been you who nicknamed her Jabba.

I can't remember. Her loathing of certain people certainly reached dizzying heights.

Re fashion....Sales are on. Some great bargains to be had with 70% off lot's of summer wear.
I went to a garden centre yesterday, and some of the summer dresses, tops and trousers that had prices slashed were brilliant.
😳 They sell clothing in a garden centre?
Yep...in selected ones. They had some lovely linen tops and trousers, cheesecloth shirts with a bit of sparkle, and wide leg silky pants...great for holidays.
Shoes! When one can no longer wear dainty heels and stilettoes, what are the best shoes for a night out? In summer, no problem. I have a few pairs of beaded open sandals that go great with summer dresses and skirts. In winter months, especially around Christmastime when all the black glitterati comes out, they look wrong, so do boots, sketchers and trainers.
I am still wearing a 30 year old pair of black patent leather and suede flats, that have been heeled and soled numerous times, and are comfy enough to dance in... but when my shoes are older than my adult grandkids, it really is time for a change.

Kitten heels? Some can be as low as a couple of inches.

I loved my kitten heels Vam, the ones I have (and can't wear now) are similar to the animal print ones, I have them in suede and black leather.
Unfortunately, my left foot and ankle dont bend as they used to, so I cant slant my foot to get them on now, plus they are oo narrow in the toe....my feet are 120 years old.
On a brighter note, we just went to an old mill that has lots of great clothes, last season (who cares) at knock down prices.
Anyway,, I managed to find a nice pair of black suede Mary Janes , they will look dressy enough to wear with wide black pants and lace tops, and even better, they were half price.
All you need now is a vacation! 😎 When are you guys off?
Might fit a Quickie in before the year is out, we have been looking.
But the one we have looked forwards to with grandkids ...we had to postpone because of my knee-op.
We have booked that for next April.
Vam, where is your favourite holiday spot?
What with your oven’s demise, bathroom flooding, and surgery + post-surgery physio/convalescence, it’s definitely time for some R&R (for both of you).
To answer that BIB, do I have your permission to be a bit flash?
Oh God yeah...be flash.
Paradise on earth: Tahitian Islands - specifically Bora Bora. And off the coast of beautiful New Zealand, the Cook Islands - specifically Rarotonga. And Hawaiian Islands - especially Maui (because, my honeymoon 😉). And Barbados for Christmas (twice on Concorde).
Cities: Prague, Paris (yes, despite Parisians! 😂), Firenze, New York, Boston and Vancouver.
