OMG....Women dont really dress like that in Texas do they?

The Jeans are OK...but NEVER iron a crease down the front, no denims should have a crease.

The white blouse is nice as long as no muffin top is showing, so she looks OK in that, she should have stopped there.

White trainers would look better than heavy leather boots....women want comfort.

As for the jewelry and jacket....she is trying way too hard.

Jeans are often starched and creased for western attire. It's not as common as it used to be, but it's still probably seen as often as not.

It's old school.

Why the hell would you wear trainers with western attire?.

Would you wear them with a nice dress out to a nice restaurant?

I was trying to unwesternise her, surely girls dont want to look like something out of the wild west when they go out....the white blouse and jeans would be a great day outfit. Ditch the boots and that grotesque jacket...that's just overkill....or roadkill.

As for are trainers worn with dresses ....yes, I said back here in this thread, women, especially young women here, seem to have given up on dressy evening shoes and they wear trainers with everything. not a fashion I would wear, but then I'm not young and trendy.

Compared to some of the outfits women wear for Ladies Day at the races....those outfits were quite understated.

You don't think girls in the West or at western events should dress western?

You do realize that fashion isn't the same everywhere don't you?

And fashion changes locally based on the event. People dress very different at soccer games than at a Lainey Wilson concert..

If it's dressing up like that for a special event, I get it. But to dress like that thinking it's fashionable in some way, it's not.

Fashion is fluid and specific to areas.

It's why I can pick out Europeans pretty easily when I'm out. They no doubt think they are fashionable but by local measures, they aren't..

And of course there are different local fashions. The lesbians in a gay bar with short purple hair, baggy clothes and a pierced septum think they are quite fashionable..

However,  I met a Brit and his family a few months ago and he definitely had some help selecting his wardrobe. That and he has lived here a year or so.

He was "fashionable" for Texas and blended right in. He wouldn't be fashionable in Manchester.

Untill Muslims completely take over the UK, and that wont be happening anytime soon, that garb will never be fashionable.

And as most Texans seem to be very overweight, I doubt many would look like the models you post in cowgirl gear.

Manchester is very cosmopolitan, anything goes really.

Dont judge what people wear by the late night videos that concentrate mainly round the gay village and Picadilly.... that's not a good representation of what people here wear.

Incidentally, what do you think 'Europeans' wear for you ro be able to pick them out easilly?....is it because they are just more sophisticated and well put together?

Generally it's the.skinny jeans and trainers on the men.

I get it. They are on vacation and want to dress as casual as possible.

And considering where I see them, a lot of walking might be involved during the day.

But put together isn't what I would call it.

And then when they try to dress western.....

But I acknowledge that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and appreciate their efforts..

I think most observant people can pick up on "foreign "" vibes. I don't mean it as bad thing in that regard.

I'm sure Spaniards can pick up on a British tourist long before they speak. Clothing/fashion would provide one of those cues..

And throw in some pasty white skin............

This is a good example. While it's day time so the vibe is more family and casual orientated, these two know they stick out, which is fine as long as you don't look down your nose at the locals as some sort of primitives that don't know how to dress. 😉
