To pretend to care about the welfare of animals and then wear fur, including the fur of unborn lambs, is the height of hypocrisy.

I don't think she really professed any care about animals. She just decided she no longer wanted any part of hunting them. I don't think she cares if anyone else does..

I'd say most people in the West now are about as hypocritical as her.  They will eat KFC but hand them a live chicken and a knife and ask them to prepare that bird and all bets are off..

Yeah...but eating a burger is not like wearing the fur of endangered animals, or  a coat that has needed hundred of animals to die in its making, or buying a fur coat when the fur has been obtained by ripping the unborn animal from the  stomach of it's mother.

I don't know if the cow you're eating would agree with that assessment..Or the mother of that cow.

I think that's something meat eaters say to help them sleep.

One thing I sorta agree with vegans on is that "meat is murder". I'm just not bothered by the process..

Well we all have to live with our choices. I know I wouldn't drone on about the souls of animals and parade around looking ugly in a fur coat.

You have defended killing animals for eating, and for practical clothes in extreme temperatures in the past? Don't you think killing animals, especially endangered species and lwithout any care, purely for vanity is abhorrent?

I would say killing an endangered species can be problematic if it's not done as part of a conservation effort designed to help that species thrive.

That's why we have laws about killing certain species especially in terms of age and sex.

What endangered animals are we making hats out of anymore? Can I buy a new snow leopard hat legally?

I think we have covered the killing of endangered species before.
You made excuses then , no point repeating.

I see Madonna is still wearing fur, what a hypocrite, she will do anything for attention.

Letting her blonde locks fall loose down her shoulders, Madonna completed her look with a pair of sunglasses

Why is she a hypocrite? Is she vegan or animal rights activist?

She's wearing a dead animal.  Been skinned so she can wear its fur!

I agree Syl.  No one needs to wear dead animals in this day and age.  It's  obscene. 😡

Thankfully, it's almost none existent to see anyone wearing real fur now in the UK.  It's one fashion that won't be coming back, thank God.

I'm for following the law and sound conservation practices because that's far more useful to any species than emotion.

Eat a cow or eat an elephant. I don't care as long as you didn't illegally harvest either one..

 Special occasions? lol

I used to have a great pair of leather tapered trousers back in the day. I wore them a couple of times out clubbing, they were the most uncomfortable item of clothing I ever owned. Sticky and sweaty, definitely looked better than they felt.

Yeah, Saturday nights in Manchester. 😉

To be honest, I can see how leather on skin would be uncomfortable as soon as you sweated at all, which is basically all of the time.

Chaps are assless solving that problem..😉
