Van didn't read the tweet until after Charlie was murdered..

Er no Mags, we don't! I don't know what you think moderate left wing thinking is but it has nothing to do with pardoning murderers.

Basically genuine and not radical left wing people want more fair wealth distribution, pensioners to be kept warm in winter, the homeless to be helped more, and people to be paid in line with inflation and those in menial jobs be paid a wage that they deserve and feeds their families. I don't understand the need to demonise the left. Can you really see members of the Green Party excusing this murder? No.

Yes, people more left on the political spectrum also tend to care more about victims of racism , misogyny and discrimination of any kind. But that's a failing on.the part of the right if anything as that's hardly an extreme view either. People of all races are equal, it seems to me it's those on.the right that are more concerned with race ,in particular of late!

This was a horrible murder and that poor girl I hope is resting in peace. xx I can't even imagine it, it's too awful to think about. I hope her assailant gets the maximum sentence possible but if he does genuinely suffer from schizophrenia (possibly the most frightening mental illness one can:have that causes paranoia and hallucinations) and he was meant to be on medication then the social care system in the States has failed this girl. If he was a danger to others due to hi mental state he should of been in the appropriate care.

But again, no " lefties " want to cover up a tragic murder and politicising people's death's whilst seemingly a trend right now is quite distasteful.

So what sentencing should this murderer get then?…a few years in hospital then released so he can stop taking his meds again and someone else has their throat cut?

If he can’t be guaranteed to take medication then he’s not safe to be in society therefore should be not be free to roam the streets. Being mentally unwell should not be a get-out-of-jail card for anyone.

You’re talking from the safety of your keyboard. This young lady thought she was safe travelling home, it could be you or a loved one next…you’ll be happy for a lesser/easier sentence because he wasn’t right in the head? Perhaps the parents of those wee girls in Southport should have requested for an easier sentence to be handed out.

Peter Sutcliffe was moved from prison hospital to prison, he was diagnosed as being “paranoid schizophrenic”. Some qualified medics reckoned he wasn’t. So either he faked it or meds stabilised him enough for prison.
