I've never heard Charlie ever mention political office, nor anyone mention that about him. I'll be honest, I only saw clips here and there of him because he's a bit too much of a Bible thumper for me..

Basically, he was a happily married Christian with two beautiful children that loved to debate liberals on college campuses. He was the traditional family guy that many people loathe. He made his opponents look silly at times and some people just want to silence people like him..

The tictok crowd is ecstatic over his death. There are tens or hundreds of thousands happy about this. There doesn't need to be some great conspiracy with that large of a supply of hate.

We know for certain that secret services are split into many divisions, may collude with other secret services in allied nations (such as M15/M16) and have organized political assassinations on "foreign" lands. Often they will use people not connected with the services who originally want the targeted person dead or they offer a lot of money to that person to carry out the assassination who has access to that target. That person then carries out the assassination or aids the assassins to do their "jobs".

With detailed intelligence gathering a more insidious method is now fairly common: the secret service divisions hears of an assassination attempt and allows it to happen. Plausible deniability. Often they will receive information of several people planning an assassination attempt may stop a few and may allow another through.

Often ground swells of hatred can be generated by using the media and left-wing academics to create a ground swell of potential assassins out of otherwise ordinary people from middle class well to do families. This hate is openly observable to anyone that monitors twitter / tiktok / social media platforms and even on the Have Your Say on BBC articles.

Donald Trump will be visiting the UK shortly on what I believe is a state visit. People they have never met him, never spoken to him and have been incited to hate him will be protesting the visit.

There is a very large anti-Israel and antisemitic crowd and as soon as anything like this happens one gets the usual finger pointing by the usual crowd. They call it "naming the Jew" and dedicate their lives to "naming the Jew" and "naming the Jewish State".

Whenever there has been an Islamic Attack killing large numbers of civilians in say Britain, France and Germany the politicians come out making statements such as Islam is the Religion of Peace and that the Far Right Islamophobes will take advantage of the situation. The narrative is immediately switched from Islam to ordinary civilians in Britain, France and Germany protesting what happened. It is similar to the "naming the Jew" but here the politicians and the media name the "ordinary citizen" labelled as far right islamophobes.

There is going to be an incredible amount of noise surrounding this - people will be making political capital out of it - one way or the other. The media will rejoice, "influencers" will rejoice, political commentators will rejoice - lots of stories to write, lots of clicks. One must be careful not to stoke every conspiracy theory and get lost there. One needs to focus on verifiable evidence which includes such things as the dog that didn't bark.

Yep. But who knows though, Magsy 🤷🏻‍♀️ I doubt we’ll ever get the real story behind what went down.

Seeing all the conspiracy theories on social media, after something like this happens, can be like trying to wade through a stinky swamp wearing concrete wellies.

But I have to admit, this particular theory is resonating with me and I wouldn’t rule it out.

A man dressed in all black on a rooftop hundreds of yards aways gets off a clean killshot in a densely attended event, sprints across the rooftop following the shooting and then disappears without a trace leaving no evidence behind?

I know nothing about shooting guns or how achieveable all that is but it doesn't sound like something Joe Public could do.

“We have recovered what we believe is the weapon that was used in yesterday’s shooting. It was a high powered bolt action rifle. That rifle was recovered in a wooded area where the shooter had fled.”

The guy that wrote that knows nothing about weapons..

This wast a kid who bought the gun yesterday, but there are millions of people in the US that can make that shot.

Getting away took a little planning and luck, but with thousands of people running around in chaos, it wouldn't be that difficult.

Perhaps it was a professional hit. But make no mistake, most guys I hunt with can make that shot, from a prone position, 9 times out of 10..

My girls could put 10 shots in a row, in a target the size of a grapefruit, at 100 yards with a scoped rifle..

How do you think we shoot deer at 100-200 yards..

It still might be a professional, but it could just be someone with basic skills and not a lunatic..

We are so used to seeing lunatics in mass shootings that we don't understand a non lunatic with a rifle can shoot anyone at an open air event like this. They can squeeze off one lethal round and run off. Since it was likely a bolt action round, the shell would still be in the gun..No trace left behind..

If you fire one round, it's almost impossible to determine where it came from. The buildings will create echos. It's not like people would have instantly known where the round came from..

And if the shooter used a serious round like we use for deer hunting (which I suspect), the report from the rifle would have been insanely loud, further making the scene crazy..

And while true silencers don't exist (like in the movies), suppressors do. I think a pro might have used one of those. It doesn't appear that was the case..

I just checked windage. My deer rifle is a 7mm mag. Bullet drift at 200 yards with a 10 mph wind is 2.2 inches. Let's bump it up to 15mph. It would still be less than 3 inches.

Long distance snipers 800 yards or so, need to adjust for windage and distance.

At 200 yards, just hold steady on your target and your round should stay in the area the size of a tennis ball.

I think you are probably right. I was a little taken aback when I saw the footage and I found it suspicious how accurate the shot seemed to be and how the shooter managed to escape. However, a lone gunman does seem the more likely scenario, although ithe motivation is evidently political.

trump is predictably making political haystacks out of this terrible event (wait for the spectacle of the made-for-tv funeral), and Republicans are proceeding with their maudlin near-canonisation of Charlie Kirk.

But I can’t help recalling how one of Kirk’s besties, trump’s failson, celebrated the deranged attack on Nancy Pelosi’s 80-year old husband, whose head was battered to a pulp with a hammer in the dead of night.

Then there’s a Republican US Senator, ripping the piss out of a murderous attack on a Democratic state representative in Minnesota, whose husband and dog were fatally shot too. trump didn’t even bother reaching out to Minnesota’s Governor, Tim Walz to convey condolence (“a waste of time”).
