UK and US societies have settled on methods to sort the quality of arguments which are subjective by using critical reasoning and logic.

So, the argument "boats should be banned as the Earth is flat so you can sail right off the edge of it" may sound subjectively fabulous and make sense to the person making the statement. However, even though the conclusion is logically consistent (you could sail off the edge of the Earth if it was flat) the argument is flawed as the premise is false (that the Earth is flat.) In addition the proposed solution is also unreasonable (banning boats) as it is disproportionate which further undermines its quality. Social issues are more difficult to asses as there are more grey areas than say matters involving the physical world so the ability to handle nuance is necessary. 

Who gets to define what rhetoric we listen to and are convinced by? The citizens of a society by means of public debates, politics and judicial processes mainly. We decided to resolve our disputes in this way as it was better than one group killing another due to a difference of beliefs. Sounds like the right approach to me.

I mean you are free to call them rhetoric and I'm free to say you're absolutely wrong. It's just that your calling it rhetoric doesn't make it so. Nor does a majority calling it rhetoric make it so.

I'll admit her attorney was more calm than Charlie was about the situation.

 

I imagine Charlie's wife was pregnant at this time too.

 What he said is this is too common and a problem.He described a too common practice or trend..

 

I'll admit he probably got a little too worked up.

 

I'm going to cut him slack because some of us get worked up when a woman is treated like that.

 

Also this was compounded by people misrepresenting what happened to her..

 Most people get worked up when someone is treated so unfairly and the authorities go along with it. It happens here all the time, but not always in the way Charlie Kirk alluded to.

He has said when a black person is in an altercation with a white person, the general public has been conditioned to believe that it's the white person terrorising the black person.

We certainly don't have that social mentality here.

 I have had time to watch this now.

Those two broadcasters should be sacked for the way they spoke about that woman. They glibly said they didn't actually know the details, but went on to say the woman was definitely racist, possibly drunk, even if she was 6 months pregnant she still could be drunk, her crying was fake and they mocked her for that....slur after slur.

I hope the woman also sues those two whilst she is at it.
