You are right about the grooming gangs, I was actually going to use them as the exception, but it seems I am always banging on about them.

The authorities turned a blind eye because they were afraid it would heighten racial tensions....which actually did the opposite. The fact that the authorities covered it all up , including police, CPS, which at one time when all this was at its height was headed by our present PM, care workers, school authorities, etc ....that's what heightened racial tensions here, then and now.

But that's a different matter to the general public believing the white person is the aggressor, which is what Kirk said.

The authorities are supported by a large percentage of the general public.

That's how they retain their authority..

At least for awhile.

The problem is treating people unequally in an attempt to not look racist.

 I agree, it's a huge problem.

Erika Kirk is said to have asked for help after the liberal website Jezebel paid witches to curse her husband just two days before he was assassinated.

The grieving widow, 36, was 'genuinely rattled' over the story, which claimed the author had paid witches on Etsy to curse Charlie, 31, according to Megyn Kelly.

The Kirks were so concerned by the article that they summoned a Catholic priest to undo the curse the night before the conservative commentator was shot dead at Utah Valley University, Kelly revealed on her YouTube show on Tuesday.

The media personality said 'Erika and Charlie Kirk heard about these curses, and that news genuinely rattled Erika in particular... She was scared.

'So much so that she and Charlie contacted a friend, who I believe she said was a Catholic priest, and asked him to come over and pray with them over Charlie the night before he was murdered.'

Kelly added: 'Why torture a family like this? A Christian, believing family. Why do this vile thing to a young couple?'

The Jezebel article, published on September 8, was titled 'We Paid Some Etsy Witches to Curse Charlie Kirk.'

After Kirk was murdered two days later, the news website issued a statement clarifying the timing of the post and announcing it was removed.

I didn't title the link, neither did Fluffy.

The reason I checked, you are dissing everything Fluffy is saying, also wrong to credit Biden with Kirks words....so knowing Fluffy is not very good as posting the links,  I thought I would help.

Thanks Syl, I appreciate it x

Your video is far superior to my small clip.

I saw that video a few days ago, not his finest work.

All in all, I do think he often  comes across, maybe deliberately, as a white American man who feels superior to lesser mortals.

Maybe that's why Maddog liked him so much.wink

Lol! lol He has his good moments and bad. I'm over sensitive also which I know is something I have to work on.

She was a beautiful lady. Obviously she still is but she was ridiculously beautiful then.

Now is the difficult time, her alone with her children and empty space where the man she loved used to be. All the media and arranging the funeral, Trump's involvement and the rest of it would have provided a welcome distraction. It's now when the voices move on to speaking about the next tragedy that she will really need her loved ones around her.

I think she will privately give some of the money donated after her husband's death  to charity or to her church . and maybe take a more active role in.Turning Point USA. I am.not a fan of the organisation but wish her nothing but the best and hope she does whatever brings her the most comfort. Comforting the children will be so hard, how can any widow explain Dad isn't coming home again? I do feel really sorry for her.

She did announce at her husbands memorial service that she was now the new CEO of Turning Point.

The children are very young, three and one, so hard though it will be for Erika, it will be easier on the children than if they were older.

I agree, the difficult times are ahead...usually after a loved ones funeral is when reality sets in.

She will need all the love and care from family and friends they can give her then.

Yes, if they were older, they would likely be exposed to the huge number of people celebrating their father's death.

It is fortunate they wont see that nonsense, although I'm sure in the future they will hear how awful their father was. And they will be old enough to understand it.

Well every public figure has their detractors. Just look at the way Princess Diana has been portrayed by some.
However millions loved her, just as millions probably thought Charlie Kirk was great.

Do you recall anyone saying very publicly that they were glad she was dead?

Maybe a few folks over in Ireland.

Although, she died pre internet warrior/idiot. People were less inclined to say shit in front of others like we used to have to do.

Had Diana died in the age of social media, yes, I do believe people would have been as horrible about her death as they have been about Charlie Kirks.

It's made some people cowardly, cruel and insensitive, safe in the knowledge they are more or less safe to say what they want about anyone without consequence..

That kind of shit has been going down on forums for years.   Look at the ghastly 4Chan?

4Chan was where BF and Dogs got their inspiration.  It was a nest of vipers.

(knock on wood 🤞🏻) Can’t believe I‘ve been Whine posting for almost as long as I was at Dogs - 6 years.

Barely a turbulent glitch along the way. Well, apart from when Dawg is being a particularly obnoxious dick 😂

Those years go so quickly. I joined a forum (The Mirror) in 2007, unbelievable. It's a great way to have conversations (and arguments) with people you would never otherwise meet...(including Maddog)wink

nod Time flies by us, Syl.

I still believe there’s a niche for smallish well-moderated forums. Social media is just too vast, and I barely ever interact with it all. It does have its uses though, because I do read - a lot! And I learn a lot too.

But I prefer the familiarity of a forum where I can post around folks I’ve come to ‘know’ over a period of time.

Funny thing is, in all the years I was at Dogs I barely noticed Dawg - outside of the News section. I’m sure he barely noticed me either.  BUT in the News section he would happily argue the toss (to the nnnnnnth degree, as usual!🤣) with the weird and alarmingly obsessive nutjob, Cactus Jack. Now that was stuff I truly loved to silently observe from afar 🍿  Who could have guessed I’d end up getting down in the weeds with him over here! 😂

(shoutout to Cactus Jack, if he’s looking - I get why you’d end up pretzel-shaped when ’debating‘ with Dawg console)
