I am finding it very interesting how some (not all) are beginning to work themselves into the thinking that killing Charlie Kirk and those like him might be a good thing on balance after all.  

Does anyone remember the following:

"On June 18, 2016, at a rally for Donald Trump's 2016 United States presidential campaign in Paradise, Nevada, Michael Sandford, a 20-year-old British citizen, attempted to grab the service pistol of a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officer providing security for the event. Having failed to do so and having been arrested, Sandford claimed that he had wished to kill Trump to prevent him from being elected U.S. president."

Trump will be visiting the UK on a State Visit soon.  I am sure there will be a long line of Brits trying to prepare Trump something special.

With such thinking one has to wonder who really are the authoritarians / fascists.  George Orwell said in future there will be a lot of double speak and the inversion of truth.

 I am also really worried about the state visit Anon. The States have gone mad politically  , they are not merely a right wing administration and seem to have lost sight of that. They are going too far.

We have embraced a more right mentality here due to  a combination of media gaslighting and those who are genuinely worried about immigration. But we are thankfully a long way from the rhetoric of Kirk and Trump who clearly agrees with his sentiments. I will amazed if there isn't protests occurring when he arrives at best and well, someone attempting something far more sinister.

The world is in a mess. People, including Trump, claim "lefties" are saying all this damaging rhetoric but it seems transparent to me that the right , especially in America, are saying far more disturbing crass and often plain stupid things. 

Trump seems to seek division and knows he has all the power, especially in comparison to us..Starmer must be dreading the state visit. The security will be off the charts.

 Yup, and making it a right .v. left thing is exactly the opposite of what America needs right now. 

I honestly think a lot of people spend way too much time online, which warps their moral compass and impedes them from thinking clearly. As I said before the likely social issue at play here is online radicalisation which affects both the left and right. We will know more as the facts emerge but that is the most likely scenario.

 QFT. The President clearly himself spends too much time online since he has already condemned the killer as a "radically left" individual when the police have  no idea who committed this abhorrent act and were asking the public for assistance.

Trump has also said that it's due to the radical left  discourse that political violence is on the rise. It has to be said that the right  seem to be pretty outspoken and radical themselves, especially Trump's administration. Kirk 's insistence that black women don't have the "brain power" to be in good jobs (including Michelle Obama) that "should be occupied by white men" staggered me. These are  direct quotes from the man himself aired on LBC and taken from his show.

I didn't know much about the deceased prior to yesterday and I do feel sorry for his family but his politics go beyond  just right wing I would say. If he was prepared to say such controversial things in public forums I'm surprised he didn't have far more security.

If Trump uses his friend's death as a reason to attack his political opponents and the public who vote democrat then I fear for the trajectory that will likely soon occur not just in the States but the knock on effect it may have here too. The man is an agent of chaos and division.

 It is called Democracy.   Are you proposing ending Democracy because the result was not what you consider to be acceptable?   It is a small step from imagining half the American electorate as halfwits and maggots to creating something similar to the early 1940s in certain parts of Europe.   Maybe history repeats itself but not in a form that those pushing for change recognise but it is staring at them in the mirror.
