Whereas me? My instinctive, visceral loathing of trump compels me to verbally slam him every which way I can. That’s because, to my very core, I see him as a demonic entity in human form. He truly is evil personified, imv.

After Wednesday’s horrific event, several politicians on both sides of the aisle were advocating for cooler heads and less rhetoric to prevail.

When trump was asked on Fox News what could be done to unify the country, he replied “I really don’t care.” And he then went on to more or less say the radical Right are entitled to do what they do, but the radical Left are pretty much scum.

I mean, who does that in the immediate wake of such a terrible tragedy? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Syl I thank you for being civil and understand your take. But he shouldn't doubt ALL black pilots imo because of one tragic accident where the pilot who flew the plane happened to have black skin.

There must be many white people who have committed accidents with terrible repercussions in their jobs in building sites or by surgeons for example etc but Kirk isn't saying he doesn't trust them, it's the constant focusing on ethnicity and him blaming or disgusting ALL of black people for the actions ONE black person commits. That is the essence of discrimination. He says if he sees a black pilot he is going to worry they are not qualified just based on the actions of one person...all pilots will have the necessary qualifications. That's just my opinion and again thank you for speaking respectfully x

I acknowledge that Trump is part of the problem. He likes to call people names. It's childish, especially for a president.

But he's got helpers in terms of ratcheting up the problem.

Following the tragic January collision between an American Airlines plane and a Black Hawk Army helicopter, Donald Trump suggested diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts were at fault. Kirk added to this, saying:
"If I see a Black pilot, I'm going to be like, 'Boy, I hope he's qualified.'"

And he said that because there was a program to promote less qualified pilots based on their race.

Without that program one could assume any black pilot was qualified. With it, one couldn't.

As for the intellectual capacities of black women being lower it's quite clear that he was saying people that believed in affirmative action held that position or supported the promotion of people with lower intellectual capacities to meet a diversity quota..
