Unlike most film stars of the 50's and 60's, she seemed to be a free spirit. She famously said when she left films at the age of 39, "I gave my youth and beauty to men, now I will give my wisdom and experience to animals....and that's exactly what she did do.

It is sad when someone who had an influence in your life dies.
I think for many women she was quite inspirational. Her beauty obviously, but the way she lived her life. She spoke out about what she felt was happening in the world, and was often in trouble for it,now of course millions agree that decades ago she was right, and even though she was prosecuted and fined many times...she never wavered.
She was also criticised for the way she looked as she aged, usually by people who don't have a mirror or prefer the plastic dummy look....I thought she was gorgeous when young and fabulous when old.
Nigel Ogden has died at the age of 71. He entertained thousands with his organ for 38 years. His friend Phil Kelsall said of him that he was very friendly and had lived for his organ since the age of 12.

I don't think being obsessed with their organ is that unusual for 12 year old boys.
Catherine O'Hara has died after a short illness.
She was memorable as the mum in Home Alone, but absolutely brilliant in the Netflix series Schitts Creek.
I have just been watching a tribute for Bonnie. She was very well thought of by some very famous people and fans alike.
Surprisingly, considering the likes of Tom Jones, Shirley Bassey and others, she was the first Welsh singer to have a No1 in America.

I’m not really into big, loud power ballads, but I’ve seen Bonnie being interviewed several times over the years.
She always struck me as a good person with a very quirky personality. Loved that husky (speaking) voice and Welsh accent 😊 She was certainly a looker too!
Gone too soon. R I P 🕯️
