 Oh, never mind..

I thought maybe it was to fund my healthcare in my advanced age. Seeing how "guest" seems to think I'm about ready for a walker..😉

I was trying to be charitable and avoided telling him that not everything is about him.

Because then we’d have to call emergency services…

His daughter was beautiful. Couldn't dance but I make exceptions for pretty girls from the UK.

Or anywhere else..😉

Danced with a girl from Belfast a few months ago. She was a natural who had some sort of dance training back in NI..

Now that sweet cheeks has saddled up and ridden off into the sunset, you might find these handy hints useful for finding a replacement next time you hit the dance floor:

Women are most impressed by men who move their upper bodies around a lot, making large varied movements with the neck and trunk which take up a lot of space on the dance floor. Moving the left shoulder and right knee were also deemed particularly alluring. Researchers believe that these moves may be signals of a man's reproductive quality.

At the other end of the scale, men who move their arms too much were marked down, as were men who kept their arms too close to their body.

Go for it!

Samir Zitouni remains in hospital

"The remarkable courage displayed by the LNER staff member who sustained serious injuries during Saturday's incident at Huntingdon station has been praised. Samir Zitouni, aged 48 and commonly known as Sam, has served as a dedicated member of the LNER workforce for more than two decades, fulfilling his duties aboard trains as a Customer Experience Host. His position focuses on assisting passengers.

During the evening of the incident, Sam was on duty aboard the 18:25 service from Doncaster to London King's Cross when passengers faced danger. Witnesses have commended his brave intervention, with British Transport Police characterising his actions as "nothing short of heroic," attributing to him the saving of numerous lives, reports the Daily Star."

I have to say it's ironic and deeply  significant to remember that many of the posts on the thread clearly feared the perpetrator was an asylum seeker or a Muslim.

But the knife man was British born.

However Mr Zitouni, the gentleman who risked his own life to protect strangers in this brutal attack was the hero and he is a Muslim. So not all Muslim men have not integrated, many consider themselves British just like us.

I don't know if he was once an asylum seeker but if so this gentleman has certainly proved his worth. He has worked here for two decades yet if Nigel Farage gets in, this gentleman and many like him may indeed be deported. Food for thought. wink

I think the actual details of this news report show how dangerous stereotyping is and how American fascism slowly creeping into this country. scared

I always find it intriguing the way you say "Guest" or used to  instruct them to " login".  That was before I joined. I don't think any of these comments are sufficiently scandalous that anyone would log out to make them!

63 is not ancient by any means. But it's not inaccurate to say some men may need a walker at that age surely.

What is the youngest age of a lady you would consider dating? If that's too personal by all means don't answer. A 63 year old lady would be giggled at if she dated a man younger than 50 but men are allowed to date much younger partners.  Such is life ..!

 I'm only 62..😉

I don't have an age limit for women. Seems like younger than mid 30s and neither party is that interested, so the age thing sorta takes care of itself without some arbitrary number.

And plenty of women have younger men now, assuming they take pretty good care of themselves..

Certainly in the UK, a 62 year old man hanging around the dance floor in town of an evening would be seen as pretty creepy and most women would steer clear.  A desperado.

It may be different in the States, so I will give you the benefit of the doubt in the absence of further facts.

In recent years, most of the attackers with knives targeting strangers, are in fact Muslim, so that would be why it was mentioned. Look at the last few horrendous attacks on the public, don't close your eyes to the facts.

I doubt many people target all Muslims as the same, not all Muslim men target underage kids to groom, not all Muslims fail to integrate.

This mans colour, race, religion is immaterial ... he is a hero.

Ah but he falls into the “harmless old man with a hobby “ category.

He‘s not hanging around bars, drunk and looking for “pretty girls“.

Have a word with yourself.

I have a feeling the American bars are a bit different to the bars here.

But....it does beg into question, where do 60 odd men go to without looking a bit desperate?

Here, any singleton over the age of 40 going  into a nightclub alone, was always considered a bit odd. Nowadays, according to my grandsons, the age is even lower....they say Manchester clubs are full of kids, they avoid them and hey are both in their 20's. Same with bars.

Cabaret clubs are almost none existant, they were handy for older people....more age friendly.

That just leaves pubs and restaurants.

Have to add it must be  even worse for lone single women.

We have clubs that are full if people under 25 with a DJ. You'll never find me there. But there are plenty of places that cater to older folks like me.

An old school country western dance hall is for all ages and is nothing like a club full of young people  I'll bet half the people in say "The White Elephant " are over 35 and married. People like live music and they like to go out dancing and I think it's fairly stupid if people think that stops at a certain age.

What are these grey haired folks doing sharing a dance floor with kids?

Shouldn't they be at home? 😉

Ah but at least they're with someone their own age, not preying on pretty young girls.

I think it's great if there are places to go to where older people can enjoy themselves alongside younger people.
Maybe there are line dancing places here that have similar...I don't know, because that sort of dancing to me is tantamount to torture.
