Personally, I don't think she should have been sacked. She was wrong no doubt, but people make mistakes.
She had dedicated 45 years of her life to helping people, there are other disciplinary measures that could have been used as a warning.
People's actions are more telling than their words, as long as she didn't discriminate in her work, which there is no knowledge of, sacking her was too harsh.

I agree. So unfair to this caring nurse, whose job meant so much to her for 45 years.

Do you also think it unfair that this guy was struck off too?

The man anon mentioned, said far worse and carried on saying far worse. He also unlawfully sold sick notes... he should be charged as well as sacked. I remember seeing him on the Apprentice, he got fired from there too.

Are you comparing his attitude, comments and actions to the nurses?
I wonder why Anon didn't bother to answer his own question? If you don't want to discuss the post you made....why make it?
I was sent away with a flea in my ear.
Obviously not, because your post was approved.
What you wanted was to single out a poster to try to get one over. When that failed and you got a proper response, you knew you didn't have a reasonable reply....so in fact, you skulked off, beaten and a little bruised.

No. And no I’m not the other guest that posted that.
nobody is morally wounded by your post. Instead, we need to look at facts.
Somebody has been spewing and posting hate on here against Muslims for months if not years. The ” Facts” that that person presents are often quickly dismissed, because she appears not to be able to read even simplest of texts.
It’s therefore completely reasonable for someone to ask if somebody finds it offensive that a Muslim person has been debarred from the medical profession, when that same Person is so disgusted that it happened to a non-Muslim person.

You should know by now that the BBC can't be trusted not to be biased. This doctor was struck off for a variety of reasons, not least for selling fake sick notes.
According to the General Medical Council (GMC), Munaf's posts included Holocaust denial, conspiracy theories and rhetoric equating Jews with Nazism.
One comment attempted to link the Holocaust, bagel shops and rumours that dozens of infants in Israel were discovered beheaded in ovens after October 7. That post read: “Does the obsession with baking and ovens explain the uncontested and unproven claims of six million Jews and 40 beheaded babies in ovens?”
The doctor’s posts and reposts, dating from 2023 to 2025, also included a racist term to describe ex-world champion boxer Floyd Mayweather and claimed he had been in contact with the Israel Defence Forces.
Further comments were aimed at women, saying most men “cannot tell the difference between an asset and a liability” and this was reason why many were “broke and miserable”, the tribunal heard.
Women “should not be pilots”, the doctor said. He also commented: “Female ‘empowerment’ is one of the great tricks of Satan. Islam gives us the blueprint. When will the world wake up?”
Munaf also ran the now defunct University of Masculinity website which was criticised for its controversial postings and sharing of posts by Andrew Tate.
Roberta Batchelor posted on Facebook in August 2024 a series of images including a boat filled with people arriving at a beach captioned “these give nothing and get everything” and a homeless veteran with the caption "these give everything and get nothing”.
She also posted a picture of a child being chased by men, one wielding a knife, captioned “Next time when you pay your taxes, remember some of your money goes for the “Protection of Mosques.”
A further image showed a highlighted section of the book of Deuteronomy stating “Foreigners who live in your land will gain more and more power, while you gradually lose yours.
"They will have money to lend you, but you will have none to lend them. In the end they will be your rulers."
Batchelor also posted split image showing a security inspection captioned “YOU AT THE AIRPORT” and a man departing from a boat captioned “MUHAMMAD AT DOVER”.
As I see it both are wrong and both paid the price but he was worse and spread Jew hating and sexist rhetoric for two years rather than a few days posts on his Facebook.
There's no Muslim hatred posts on here. Just people having a voice and opinion much like you're allowed to post your shit stirring crap on here.
So toddle off and don't be such a fucking bore.
