While I'm against the death penalty in theory. I could shoot this fucker at point range and then piss on him like a dog..
His initial story is now falling apart, While he admitted killing her, he left out some details. The story is bad enough to have had the Sherriff retire after dealing with it..

I can’t bring myself to read up on this depraved crime further though. What you’ve posted is more than enough for me.
I guess this human excrement had no idea that Fed Ex had a camera in their truck..The video is an hour long and supposed to be something that is making the most hardened lawmen lose it. The poor little girl fought him with everything a 7 year old girl could muster..
This is why I think most cops have PTSD and should probably have required counseling.
I consider myself tough, but seeing this on the regular would probably send me to some dark places..
It's hard to imagine how some human beings can be so depraved.
When children are involved, I imagine the hardest toughest cop would find it affected them. I'm not surprised one case can be the one that finishes their career.
Maybe its a good thing some cops get so hardened to it they can detach themselves....God knows what it's like living with one of the hardened ones, it can't be easy.
I find this haunting and so very sad. That poor little girl.
Yes it must be so hard for cops to watch this. I just know I couldn't 😢
Can you imag8ne finding these little victims, knowing how they have suffered, it's unimaginable.
When I served on jury duty, one jury had a horrible ongoing case to attend. A few of them were so upset and affected by what they had to hear and see, it was distressing just to see them, and they had just seen pictures.

Omg I know that would haunt me for life.

The jury has to watch this too.
While this dude has admitted guilt, in Texas jurors have to vote unanimously for the death penalty. The prosecution wants the death penalty and they are going to make the jury as horrified as possible. Unfortunately, his job is to give them nightmares.
The Sheriff has already said that the murderer did eventually cover the camera, but there is still audio that lasts about an hour. His exact words to them were "buckle up'..😕
And let's not forget, her parents are probably also in that courtroom..
Would you want to see and hear if you were the parent?
I don't know if you ever heard of a couple of child killers here called Myra Hindley and Ian Brady. They recorded the torture and murder of at least one of their five young victims. A little 10 year old girl named Leslie Ann Downey was recorded screaming for her mother and begging for help, the jury had to listen to the tapes...and this was back in the 1960's.

My mum was so upset at these murders. I was a kid,. She said when I was older, I don't know how I could go on If that girl was you. So heart breaking for the mum's and dads.

My mum drummed it into me not to take lifts from strangers. I remember around this time some bloke stopped his car and offered me a lift, he was young and looked like Brady. I was in North Wales at the time so don't think it was him - at least I feckin' hope it wasn't - but I never told my mum as it would have freaked her out. I was about 8 or 9 and I said no, and he kept insisting and I pointed to some houses and said, I only live there. I didn't, but he gave up and drove off.

/\ That was probably a near miss, what kind of man mithers a young girl to give her a lift?
When I was a teenager I hitchhiked all over the country, this was only a few years after the moors muderers. I remember one driver after picking me up (and I was alone because my silly friend had insisted we hitch at night, something I never did, so she left) and the driver started talking about Hindley, as if she were some sort of celebrity....I remember being really creeped out and I got him to drop me off somewhere early, which thankfully he did.

I bet most of us have had narrow squeaks in our lifetime. I know I have.

Yep, if I thought my son then grandsons were acting as recklessly as I did when I was young, I would have had lots of sleepless nights.
