I would love to see a great white in the med. Mostly they are not dangerous to people, we are not to their taste. Jaws has a lot to answer for.
They might nibble on you. While shark attacks are rare, the Great White is responsible for the most deaths.

We saw a fishing boat bringing in a dead basking shark in Cornwall years ago, it was a big one, though they can be up to 40 feet.
They are harmless to humans, very timid, though they don't look it.

I know you don't go into the sea Mags, I think it's one of life's great pleasures. I go in every chance I get.
So far no great whites have eyed me up....apart from the odd overweight Englishman.
