Great White shark spotted in the Med.  I always thought they were tbh.

I did wonder though, if he might get lost and  take a left and end up in the English Channel!  wink lollol

I would love to see a great white in the med. Mostly they are not dangerous to people, we are not to their taste.
Jaws has a lot to answer for.

They might nibble on you. While shark attacks are rare, the Great White is responsible for the most deaths.

Yes, mistaken identity, but not much solace for the people involved.

I wouldn't want to come face to face with one to see if I'm a mistaken identity.

They do attack people sadly. 😥

They do Mags, but not that often. I think you have more chance of being killed by a jellyfish, and a lot more chance of being killed by adog or a cow.

'Great white sharks kill an average of about 5 to 10 people worldwide each year. Across all shark species, there are typically between 60 to 75 unprovoked bites globally per year, and less than 15 of those encounters result in a fatality.'

I think I'd fancy my chances more with a cow than a great white!

It's probably more common to encounter other shark species though so there will be a higher number of attacks.

We saw a fishing boat bringing in a dead basking shark in Cornwall years ago, it was a big one, though they can be up to 40 feet.

They are harmless to humans,  very timid, though they don't look it.

I have to admit to a great fear of sharks, especially GW.

I do however, hate the killing.of them, cutting off their fins and leaving them to drown also!

They are in their own habitat, the  ocean is their home.  I don't venture in it, they don't come on the beach.

I'm happy happy

I know you don't go into the sea Mags, I think it's one of life's great pleasures. I go in every chance I get.

So far no great whites have eyed me up....apart from the odd overweight Englishman. lol

I just posted a pic of me on a horse a few weeks back. I hope I didn't look like that.
That said, people who need to lose weight are often well informed as to what they should be doing. The message is independent of the messenger..
