It would have been better if he had come to Fort Worth, but maybe the Norwegian team stayed in Dallas?

I've watched Balogun's red card about 5 times now. I'm not even sure that should have been a yellow. Obviously it was a foul. Anyway while Belgium is no slouch, team US could have been playing about a half dozen more difficult teams.

nod It’s the inconsistency in refereeing that‘s starting to piss people off. And yes, that includes Messi. What‘s the point of VAR, if not for situations like that?

Both Messi and Balogun's fouls should have resulted in red cards.

Serious foul play doesn't require intent or injury to occur and can be the result of a sloppy tackle. Balogun had his studs up, impact above the ankle with force which could have led to a severe injury. You are right though about the inconsistency winding people up though.

Think the US v Belgium could go either way. Belgium looked absent until about the 85th minute against Senegal. At least Senegal didn't walk off the pitch like they did in the AFCON final after a penalty was awarded against them...

Senegal are drama queens and cheats- they recently walked off the pitch for 20 minutes when Morocco were awarded a penally in injury time in the Africa Cup final. When they eventually came back out, Morocco missed the penalty. Senegal went on to win in extra time, but have been stripped of the title for walking off the pitch, and are now awaiting legal proceedings - all very messy (not Lionel!)

It was deja vu when Belgium were awarded the late penalty last night and that Senegal player feigned injury and collapsed on the penalty spot to delay the kick.

Good riddance

Definite red card whether it was intentional or not - he could have broken his ankle!

Belgium are nothing special, and disappoint over and over. They are an ageing squad,  and these players couldn't do it in their prime, let alone now.

Then again the US team are nothing special either, so the game could go either way

Ah okay…I didn’t know anything about that, Red 🤷🏻‍♀️ Karma pointed the ultimate red card at them, then.

Got to feel a little sorry for Croatia. They must have thought they had levelled the game at the death against Portugal only for it to be ruled off for an iffy offside.

Getting hyped for the same this Sunday. I think if we can manage to go the first 20 minutes without conceding a goal (or even two) as Mexico will try to blitz us then we will probably win.

Went out last night and the Aussies and Norwegians were out in full force. Maybe a little too much force. Bands, even those playing in bars, don't like people jumping on stage uninvited. The cop at the door had to have a few words with some of them. But everyone parted with a handshake.

Talked to a bartender and she says it's been fun and busy, but she's not making any more money. Usually foreigners over tip, but a lot of these folks aren't. She's ready for things to get back to normal, which can be crazy enough..

Aussies and Norwegians are not huge tippers, neither are the Brits. I think your countrymen probably tip more than most.
We went out last night, bill was £220, OH left a £20 tip....which was probably more than most leave.

I know our tipping culture is different, but most foreigners seem to get it when they are here.

I looked up the price of a pint in Fort Worth and Oslo. It's $6 vs $12..They could tip a dollar a beer here and still be way ahead.

It was rowdy last night too. I think this girl was just tired. It's hard to go full speed every shift like it's Saturday night. Footie fans can probably party as hard as anyone too. I think everyone loves having guests, but sometimes your glad to see them leave after a while..

I just did the math £210 is almost $300. That would have been $360-375 here with a tip.

Anniversary dinner?
