A stalker?  Because I go out or because I'm a fan of attractive women? I have a lot of company.😉

Settle down? That sounds positively dreadful..

I'm not going to sit at home on Saturday night and if I did, I doubt it would be with a 60 something year old.

Why not? you are 60 something. lol

I've sorta accepted that I'm probably riding this thing out as a bachelor..And I'm not doing it from my couch.

Even 60 year olds have standards Syl.ragga

Probably more than younger women, which is why most of the older single women I have ever known are very happy to stay single.

 And quite the exception.

There are far more attractive 40 year olds willing to hang out with a 60 year old than 60 year old women that look like that.

And it's not like I run around asking women their age anyway. If you're attractive I might buy you a drink, strike up a conversation or ask you to dance.

Heck some nights I just talk to other guys.

But what I'm not going to do is stay at home. I'm a social creature that likes to mingle with mankind. I have a bit of FOMO..

Most older people of both sexes stay single. Especially if they have been single a while..

There are some folks that can't be single and you will see them find someone else to fill that void as soon as possible..

I'm not one of those people..

And if you want to know why 60 year old women stay single it's because the pool of single men interested in them is pretty small and not the cream of the crop.

It's much harder for single, older women to find a male that they are interested in.

The single women I know stay single because they can't be arsed training another man to suit their lifestyle.....and they enjoy the freedom.

I know one single divorcee, she is in her 70's, and she does still date, usually men in the same age group, though like many older women, she does  also attract younger men who would be keen to take her out. She is very fussy though.

Maybe it’s because older women are more capable of smelling the usual BS, especially from desperate men.

Tell us again why you’re still single despite being on the prowl?

And the single men who stay single often do so because they've had enough of women telling them they need to be trained. And that tends to be a trait more common in older women.

Married men are used to that from women and have just learned to tolerate it as part of marriage.

Single men like me are perfectly fine walking away from a woman that starts that shit..

You can't nag someone like me and expect me to hang around.

Heck, you can treat me well and I still probably won't hang around. I unfortunately am probably too far gone to be "saved'..

It's good that you're not vegetating with a TV dinner and Keeping up with the Kardashians, but there's a fine line between being sociable and mindful that younger women are most probably just being polite, and being a dirty old man.

As for older women being unable to find anyone.  Most older women I know would rather not get involved with some aging farting balding nagging old before his time...even if he does brag about  going to the gym, having personalised number plates and bragging about how many friends/associates/women/clubs he trips the light fantastic with.   They're not desperate for a shag either.   But then women have generally always had more sense than men.

And I'm just being polite too. I never have any expectations when I speak to any woman of any age. And it's the same if they approach me. I tend to hang out in places with a wide range of ages and those people interact. There's nothing odd about that, at least around here.  It's not the club scene of a bunch of 20 year olds. Those places have nothing to offer me (or a woman my age for that matter)..

I like live music, crowds, pretty women and to dance a little. I'm probably not suited for a relationship anyway so it's all good in the hood..

Typical, the men start talking about football and the women suddenly find a way to make it all about them.

Annnnnnnyway, I love the World Cup and it is my favourite sporting competition alongside the Summer Olympics and the FA Cup. I'm watching as many of the games as I can but the night time ones are a non-starter. Also the vibes are off as there are no midday / afternoon games in the UK because of time difference. One of the nicest things about the World Cup was the social side of it where you could have friends around / go to the pub for the afternoon into the evening and hang out watching games. I guess we can't always have it our way when it comes to scheduling however.

I don't think the competition will really get going until the R32 though. The England v Croatia game is probably the closest thing to the proper World Cup fixture we will have so far and I will be watching in the pub.

I think the USMNT played the best I have ever seen them against Paraguay. That goal by Reyna with the outside of his boot was class as was Balogun's second goal.

The World Cup atmosphere is much like College Football over here. It's far more than just a game, it's an event and a party. I'm enjoying seeing all of the foreign visitors having a blast and realizing that the American people are much different than our government. I Imagine that is the same in many places..

The Scots are definitely having a good time in Boston. I would have liked England to have played closer to the weekend here, because that's usually a traveling party too.

And if we get a game here in Texas with our step cousins from down under, that would be fun..
