Christ a was 18 when she murdered a girl with friends.  She tortured her and kept part of her skull. Her boyfriend carved a Pentagram into  her chest  or stomach.

Christa got death because she was 18, her friends only 17,  got life without parole.

On September 30th, 32 yrs later at the age of 50, Christa was given lethal injections.  They never worked, so they closed the curtains, then opened them again and tried again.. Again it never worked, but she was in a bad way.  They took her to the hospital by ambulance and she was put on  life support. Eventually she regained consciousness, couldn't speak.or eat, but was taken back to the Death cell.

Now they're talking of trying again!

Personally I hate the death sentence, but surely having tried twice and failed, then put her on life support, only to bring her back to life to kill her again.  Hasn't she suffered enough now. It's  so cruel imo.

The girl she killed Colleen, her mother is itching for her to die.  She is so full of bitterness and hate.  It won't bring her child back, and after 32 yrs surely now life of even released.  Christa has multiple injuries from the poison inflicted on her.

I know some will say well she killed some one else.  Yes she did, 32 yrs ago. 18 yrs old.  Surely now it would not be right to try to try again.

Canadian doctors manages to kill nearly 20,000 people a year through their MAID program. I'm not sure why we have such a hard time doing it here with convicted felons.

I too have a problem with the death penalty because I don't trust the legal system toi get the right person every time. But of we are going to do it, lets get out shit together.

What Is Happening Now
  • Medical Condition: Pike, 50, recently released her first public statement sharing that she is in constant physical and emotional pain—specifically in her arms, hands, body, and throat—and still struggles to speak. Her legal team filed an emergency motion noting she was recently taken back to the emergency room once after returning to the prison, and she has expressed fears of infection from cleaning a roach-infested shower in the isolation unit. [1, 2, 3, 4]
  • Legal Battles and Commutation Requests: Her attorneys are asking Republican Governor Bill Lee to commute her death sentence to life in prison without parole, arguing that a second execution attempt could raise constitutional issues such as double jeopardy or cruel and unusual punishment. [1, 2]
  • Governor and State Response: Governor Bill Lee indicated he suspects her sentence will remain unchanged unless ordered otherwise by the courts. However, the state has halted all remaining executions for the year, launched an independent third-party review led by former U.S. Attorney Ed Stanton, and accepted the resignation of Frank Strada, the commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Correction. [1, 2]
Broader Scrutiny: The case—detailed extensively by the Death Penalty Information Center and reported on by CNN—has ignited intense debate among legal experts and state politicians regarding the legality and safety of trying to execute a survivor of a failed lethal injection.

People on death row should be given anaesthetic to knock them out before they are given the lethal injection.
I do believe in the death penalty for the most heinous of crimes, probably not in this case, but everyone, no matter what they have done, should be treated humanely at the end.
